1/13 SPORTS UPDATE: NFL WILD CARD ROUND COMPLETE, KNICKS, NETS CONTINUE TO SEARCH FOR CONSISTENCY.

NETS : 6-6(1-1)

Still without Kyrie Irving, the Nets fell to the young OKC Thunder 129-116, despite the fact Kevin Durant poured in 36 points, in his first game back since his absence for COVID reasons.

But the next day, Brooklyn rallied from an 18 point deficit led by KD(34 points), and Caris Leveret (20 points) down the stretch, for a thrilling 122-115 victory over the powerhouse Denver Nuggets. The win puts the Nets back at .500.

KNICKS:5-6(0-2)

The Knicks have complete fallen off, so much for that exciting 5-3 start. Blowout losses to the Nuggets (114-89), and Hornets(109-88) has sunk NY under.500 yet again.

FOOTBALL:

RAVENS 20 TITANS 13;

Lamar Jackson ran past the Titans for a massive 48 yard TD, and the Baltimore defense shut down superstar RB Derrick Hennry, and exacted their revenge from last seasons playoff loss, for their seventh straight win, and a date with the two seeded Bills in the Divisional round.

SAINTS 21 BEARS 9: The Saints defense rose up against Chicago QB Mitchell Trubisky, and the offense was led by two Alvin Karma touchdowns, in a NOLA win that sets up round three of the season between Tom Brady, and Drew Brees in the Divisional Round.

BROWNS 48 STEELERS 37:

Despite missing their head coach, and likely coach of the year winner Kevin Stefanski and some wide-receivers, Cleveland put up an NFL record 28 points in the first quarter, as the Browns notched the franchise’s first-ever playoff win; 48-37, over their arch-rival in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Leading the way was Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, and Jarvis Landry, as the Cleveland offense shocked the world early and often, putting an end to a Steelers season, in which they started 11-0, and lost five of their last six.
