Rafeal Nadal needed four hours to defeat his opponent Karen Khachanov in 4 sets, 5-7, 7-5, 7-6(7), 7-6(3). The match included a 39 shot rally to end a wild third set.

Roger Federer took Nick Kyrogois to school, with a 6-4, 6-1, 7-5, victory in under two hours.

Novak Djokovic cruised past Richard Gasquet in 3 sets, 6-2, 6-3, 6-3.

No 9 seed ,Domonic Thiem ended the Cinderella story of American Taylor Frtiz with a 3-6,6-3,7-6(5),6-4 victory

No 5 seed Kevin Anderson ousted Denis Shapavalov in five sets , 4-6,6-3,6-4,4-6,6-4.

Phillip Kohlschreiber made an upset victim out of no 4 seed Alexander Zevrev,with 6-7(1), 6-4,6-1,6-3 victory.
