The 2018 US Open tennis draw came out today, and there are some blog things to potentially look forward to. So let’s serve right in!

WOMENS DRAW:

1 seed Simona Halep

Looking for a sisters battle ? try the theirs round , as that’s where Serena and Venus Willams can meet in Flushing NY.

This marks the first time that Serena will

play in NY Since Becomomg a mother last year, and missing the US Open due to pregnancy. Serena has won 23 grand slams in her career, which is second all time behind Marguet Court (24).

The sisters will have to win their first 2 matches if they want to face each other this year ! Venus will start that quest against Svetlana Kuznetsova , ( A former US Open champion in 2004) in round 1, while Serena will begin her quest for history against Magda Linnete of Poland

Serena leads the all time sister battle 17-12, head to head.

MENS DRAW:

Number 1 seed, Rafael Nadal .

Last year , we were one match away from seeing the two living legends, Rafel Nadal , and Roger Federer duke it out on the US Open stage for the first time ever , but unfortunately it wasn’t menat to be .

For that too happen this year, it would have to be In the finals , and our two competitors have some obstacles standing in their way of that very quest .

For Roger , its fellow rival Novak Djokovic, who Roger just lost to in the Cincinnati Open Finals. Fed can play Novak potentially in the Quaterfinals.

As for Rafa , he faces a potential semifinal remaych of last year , in this years semis , when he can face Juan Martin Del Potro , a former US Open champion .
