I can’t wait for these to start, considering the semifinals were mostly boring .

Women’s :

Petrick Kivitova put an end to the run of Daniel Collins, in straight sets, 7-6, 6-0.

The 1st set, was tight until the tiebreaker, when Kivitova overwhelmed Collins 7-2, and never looked back . Collins was overwhelmingly not the better player here, and Kivitova rolled through to the finals winning the last set 6-0.

Naimoi Osaka is going back to the finals!

After winning the US Open last year, she is going back to the finals , after defeating Karoline Pliskova, 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

Osaka , dominated the 1st set. But Pliskova composed herself and got the break to force the match to a decisive 3rd set.

In the 3rd, the players went toe-to -toe with each other . But Osaka was the one who broke this time , and would book a spot in the finals , winning the decisive set 6-4!

The winner of the Osaka vs Kivitova final, will become the new world number 1!

Men’s

Hats off to Lucas Poullie and Stephen Tistipas, on a great run, but that’s over now.

Rafa and Novak rolled through their opponents in the semifinals, as Rafael didn’t even take 2 hours to dismantle Stephen Tistipas 6-2, 6-4, 6-0.

As for Novak , he rolled past Lucas Poullie, 6-0, 6-2, 6-2!

Those results sets up a blockbuster Nadal Vs Djokovic final on Sunday !!!

Prediction: Novak in 5

Zac’s prediction, Rafa takes it all In 4.

If Novak wins, it will be a record 7th Australian Open title , If Rafa wins, it will be his 1st Australian open title in 10 years!

However, Nadal leads in head to head in this department so don’t count him out just yet!
