BOSTON CREAM!! LEVERT PROPELS NETS PAST STUNNED CELTICS IN OT THRILLER.

For Caris Levert, a “Boston cream” was in order. Caris went all out for a career-high 51 points, as the Nets(28-33) rallied down 21 points to shock the Boston Celtics (41-19) on Tuesday Night(3/4) at TD Garden in Boston. Levert scored 26 of his 51 points in the 4th quarter, propelling the Nets to a franchise-record 51 point quarter ,while also scoring all of Brooklyn’s 11points in the extra session for a total of 37 points in 17 minutes.

Turnovers hurt the Nets early and often, as the Celtics mostly without stars Gordon Hayward and JaysonTatum, converted them into buckets and never looked back. Taking a commanding 56-43 lead into the break. It stayed that way in the third quarter, as more Brooklyn turnovers led to the Celtics scoring more buckets and finding their rhythm as well, extending their lead to 21 and when the 3rd quarter ended, the scoreboard read Celtics 84 Nets 67.

It was then “Caris Levert time”, as he started playing out of his mind, Turing into scoring machine at will, lifting the Nets back into the contest. The Celtics tried to throw all they big and speedy men at him, but there was nothing they could do, as Levert was on amnion and nobody was getting in his way. The bad news. For the Nets though was the defense, as they weren’t able to get big stops when they needed too, making it seem that Levrt’s effort would be lost. But late in the 4th, Deandre Jordan started playing extra aggressive defense, as the Nets rallied around Caris, who Brough the Nets within 1, before giving his team a chance to force OT, as the Nets had the ball trailing 118-115 with 1.4 seconds remaining; again, for the 3rd time in a week the Nets had a shot at the buzzer.

Fortunately for the Nets and. Their fans, the 3rd time would be the charm, as the Levert would get fouled on a 3 point attempt with 0.2 seconds left, and drain. All 3 free throws to force Overtime.

The extra frame was a free 5 minutes of the “Caris Levert takeover”, as he scored all of the Nets 11 points lifting them to a 129-120 win and finally handing the Celtics their second straight home loss in. OT, as they fell to James Harden and the Houston Rockets 111-110 this past Saturday (2/29).

The win puts the Nets back into the 7th seed in the East over the Orlando Magic (27-34) with a big tilt coming up on Wednesday Night at Barclays Center against the Memphis Grizzlies (30-31). Game time is 7:00PM.

But if your a Nets fan, maybe consider heading to a “Dunkin Donuts” near you and picking up a Boston Cream donut. You might not regret it after what transpired in the NorthEast on Tuesday.
