It should be fun series this weekend as two hot teams get together in the Braves (77-52) and the Mets (67-60) at Citi Field so let’s get into it!
GAME1: FOLTYNEWICZ VS DEGROM
It’s a struggling pitcher against a hot one. Degrom has flashed his inner “2018” lately while Mike has struggled lately for Atlanta.
I expect the Mets to come out hot and win in front of a raucous home crowd!
PREDICTION: Mets 7 Braves 2

GAME 2: MAX FREID VS ZACH WHEELER
Last time we saw these two, the Braves won it in Atlanta. However, Wheeler has been great at home for the Mets this season especially against the Braves and I don’t expect that to change. The Mets outlast Freid and pounce on the Braves bullpen, while Wheeler does enough to propel the Mets to victory.
PREDICTION: Mets 2 Braves 1

GAME 3: KEUCHEL VS MATZ
I say the Braves get one here. Though he has done great his last two starts, I want to see more from Matz. I want him to show me he is a legitimate starter in this league and he has snapped out of his skid completely! We will see how he does on Sunday in the series finale but for now, I’m taking the hungry Braves in this one as Keuchel once again stymies the Mets offense as Atlanta avoids the sweep.
PREDICTION: Braves 5 Mets 3
Alonso and Ramos go deep for the Mets in this one.
KEY TO THE SERIES:
For me it’s get to their inconsistent bullpen! Should the Mets do that, they will pound the Braves and send the fans home happy 3 more nights in a row!
