🚨BREAKING: AARON HICKS IS BACK! BUT LOSIGA, ANDUJAR HEAD TO IL.

Aaron Hicks in, Mike Tauchman out.

Prior to tonight's game, the Yankees reinstated CF Aaron Hicks off the IL, as he will make his season debut tonight against the Baltimore Orioles. Hicks was dealing with a lower back issue that kept him out through the first 40 games of the Yankees season . But he is back now and will play tonight.

To make room on the roster for Hicks, the Yankees sent Mike Tauchman back to triple-A.

This was an obvious move the Yankees had to make, as Hicks is a switch hitter, while Mike struggles against right handed pitching, which is what the Yankees will have to face in this upcoming series against the Orioles.

LOSIGA, ANDUJAR TO IL: Prior to tonight's game, the Yankees placed Jonathan Losiga on the 10 day IL with a lat shoulder strain. Seems like we won't see him for at most 10 weeks, with this injury.

As forms replacement, the yankees called up Chance Dams to replace Jonathan on the roster, and have tabbed Luis Cessa as the starter for tonight's game. Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that he will go " Two to three innings, and then we will piece it together from there".

The Yankees also placed Miguel Andujar ( Shoulder) on the 10 day IL today as well. This is Andujar's second IL stint of the season, as his shoulder hasn't't looked right since he came off the IL on May 4th and will try and get completely healthy again during this IL stint. To replace him on the roster, the Yankees have recalled reliever Nector Cortes JR from Triple A. Nector came up to the big leagues on Thursday, before being sent down for Chad Green on Sunday.

Cortes JR pitched in the Yankees 7-2 loss on Saturday, and gave up a 3run HR to Yandy Diaz that ultimately was the final nail in the Yankees coffin.
