Ladies and gentlemen, this is what I call making the best of the situation! On Saturday, star safety Jamal Adams and a 4th round pick, were shipped to the Seattle Seahawks in exchange for two 1st round picks, a 3rd rounder and a young and upcoming safety Bradley Mcdougald.
On one hand, this is an amazing haul for the rebuilding Jets, as to get this haul for a star who wanted out, let alone two first round picks in one deal is incredible. So while Jets GM Joe Douglas did a great job with the return, it was amazing of the Seahawks and Jhon Schneider to pull the trigger, especially when they were one of the teams Jaml requested on his 8 team “contender list”.
With this deal, you can now add Jamal Adams to a great defense ready to contend, boasting playmakers Shaquille Griffin and Bobby Wagner. What intrigues me here, are the aspirations the Seahawks have for a possible Super Bowl run, and the possibility of extending Adams, which may happen as soon as this week.
Overall, it’s a great deal for both sides, with the contending Seahawks landing a superstar and the rebuilding Jets getting some nice draft capital.
WINNER: Even deal, a blockbuster one for sure which makes me even more pumped for football season.
Obviously though, only time will tell how this deal pans out
