In a shocking turn of events, the Panthers have traded QB Kyle Allen to the Washington Redskins, the Patriots have cut 3-time Super Bowl champion kicker Stephen Gotkowski, and the NYG now agreed to terms with a WR in Corey Coleman. For the Panthers, they will now turn to 24-year-old Will Grier at backup QB, with Cam Newton likely out the door. Meanwhile, the Patriots starting kicker reign in Gotkowski has ended, therefore now needing to explore the NFL market for one as they begin their rebuild this season, after the “Belichek/Brady era” came to an end after 19 seasons. As for the Giants, the shocking part here is that they keep Coleman now. Many people still want the G-Men to head out for star DB Jadevan Clowney on the FA market m, but with all of these acquisitions taking up space, it doesn’t look like that’s in likelihood anymore.
PS:
Allen will now mentor young QB Dwayne Haskins in Washington.
