It’s official, the Machado saga is over , and he has left his mark , by sighing a 10 year $300 million deal with the SAN DIEGO PADRES!!!!!
This is shocking to everyone in the baseball world, as experts thought it would be the Phillies in the beginning of the offseason, and then the Yankees. But after NYY puled themselves out , (To save money for next year when every good pitcher in the game will be a free agent) experts turned to the White Sox , who had Mannys brother in law Yonder Alonso , and best friend John Jay.
But out of nowhere in the middle of this cold Tuesday afternoon, Manny went to the Padres in the biggest free agency deal in USA sports history!!!
All eyes turn to Bryce Harper , as the Padres have offered him an even bigger contract than Machado, as they are now the favorites to land him.
Enjoy the record Manny, you won’t have it for long!
Thoughts:
I am beyond shocked . This doesn’t matter to the Yankees, but now the Padres are soon going to be an amazing team!
Their minor league system is “Out of this world “, and now they have Machado, with Harper maybe joining him as well.
While it will be interesting to see what happens with Harper, let’s all just process Machado first .
