Mookie Betts and David Price are headed to the Los Angeles Dodgers in exchange for prospects, Jeter Downs and Alex Verdugo and Conner Wong. Also LA starter Kenta Madea and $10 million are headed to the Twins in exchange for star reliver Brusdar Graterol. Also, Joc PEDERSON and Ross Stripling are headed to the Angles in exchange for prospect Andy Pages who heads to LAD.
This move makes the Dodgers clear-cut favorites in the NL, as Betts is one of the top players in baseball, while Price and Gaterol provide great SP depth. Young prospect too in Pages.
For the Twins, they get the starter they desperately needed in Madea. Clear favorites in the AL Central now, despite the newly improved White Sox and the Indians lurking.
As for the Angeles, the bolster their offense with Joc, while Stripling can provide some stability on the pitching side.
For Boston, they get under the luxury tax, and get some good prospects in Downs, Verdugo, and Wong.
WINNER: Clearly the Dodgers here, as they get Betts and Price, plus a good reliver in Gaterol. They also keep top prospects Dustin May and Galvis Lux. They are looking real scary right now.
Will 2020 be the year they finally win the WS? It honestly feels destined to be a Yankees-Dodgers WS if you ask me.
