🚨 BREAKING: CHAPMAN WANTS TO REMAIN IN NY!

Updated: Nov 4, 2019

Aroldis Chapman wants to stay in New York, but he also wants a new contract.

The AL reliever of the year has 2 years and $36 million remaining on his contract and said if an extension is not reached, he will opt out and enter Free Agency on Saturday. However, that still won’t change his desire to stay in New York, but it will be with a new contract.

To be honest, I’m not surprised by this as this is what I had suspected and now it is true. The Yankees really like him and he loves being here, and I think they will re- sign him. Again, no surprise here as this is what we were all expecting. Either way, Chapman is very good closer and I’ll be happy when the deal goes through and we officially get him back.

UPDATE:

He Is officaly back! The Yankees have added an extra year and $18 Million to his 2 year and $36 million deal making the total 3 years $48million. “I told you New York, I’m not going anywhere“! He said on social media after the agreement.
