Breaking news out of Boston. The Red Sox didn’t wait for the ax to fall in baseball’s investigation of manager Alex Cora and the 2018 championship team for using electronic equipment to illegally steal signs from opposing teams. They have just fired him. He’s out of Boston just like that! Cora was going to get a far worse punishment than the team or Astros manger AJ Hinch and GM Jeff Lunhow, who were both suspended for 1 year and fired due to the cheating as well.
The punishment hasn’t been announced yet, but both teams have cleaned house of the culprits. Personally, I think it will be 2-4 years. It will be interesting to se what will happen to these guys after their suspensions are up. These last 24 hours have rocked the game of baseball to its core, and I really hope this doesn’t happen again for the fairness of the game, the fans and all clubs in ball.
