This offseason is wild! Star pitcher Madison Bumgarner has agreed to a 5 year $85 million ($15 million in deferred money) deal with the the Arizona Diamondbacks! Madbum was the 2014 World Series MVP with the Giants, and was a big part of their dynasty from 2010-2014, when San Francisco won 3 titles. Since then, Bumgarner has been an above average pitcher for the rebuilding Giants and will now head to another rebuilding team in Arizona. Interesting move here by Bumgarner. Does he want to lead a team by himself to the Postseason? Is this a sign of things to come for the D Backs? That is hard to do in baseball, we will see how this shakes out.
Arizona went 85-77 in 2019, finishing 4 games out in the NL Wild Card race. This deal, could push Arizona over the hump. We will see what happens!

“Take this into consideration. The Diamondbacks stole Greinke from the Dodgers after 2016 (In FA). They then traded Greinke to the Astros, who beat them in the 2017 WorldSeries. And to ice the cake, they steal Bumgarner from LA for 5 years. Do we have a new NL West king?”
We will see MLBM, the Diamondbacks might be capable of that with Madbum now, great move for Arizona.
