🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨BREAKING NEWS : AROLDIS CHAPMAN TO 10 DAY DL

After battling it all year, it is finally time,for Aroldis Chapman to

 go on the shelf , and he did on Tuesday (8/22) when the Yankees announced that Chapman will be out for 10 days due to quad tendidtis. 

Chapman left last nights game, in the Bottom of the 12th inning after throwing only 6 pitches, including walking a batter. 

This is the 4th Yankees star to go on the DL (disbabled list) in the past 4 weeks , and the second straight game, that a Yanke has left with an injury, as Aroldis joins Araon Judge (wrist) , Gary Sanchez ( groin) , and Didi Gregorius (Bruised heel) . 

Champan is 31/33 ( 94%) in save opportunities this season, with 84 strikeouts.

Chapman , is known to struggle , when he doesn’t pitch for a long time, and that has proved significantly in his previous outings . 

Opinion: 

The Yankees should take their time with Chapman on this injury, because they have so much depth in their bullpen , that they can go to since Chapman is out. David Robertson, will most likely take over the closers role while Chapman heals, and why not . David Is good in those situations. Another option for the Yankees can be Zach Brittion, who was a closer with the Baltimore Orioles, before being traded to the Yankees in July . 

Hope Chapman comes back healthy in time for the end of the season, and hopefully playoffs!

The Yankees are currently 79-46, and 8 games back of the Red Sox for first place in the AL east . But 3.5 games up on the Oakland Athletics, for the first of two Wild card spot , and 8 games up on the third place Seattle Mariners in the wild card race.
