BUCK STOPS HERE! PAYTON, RANDLE LEAD KNICKS TO STUNNING WIN OVER BUCKS!

A night after scoring zero points, Elfreid Payton scored 27, and Julias Randle contributed with 29 of his own, as the Knicks stunned the Giannis Atentakumpo- led Bucks 130-110, on Sunday night(12/27) at MSG, for their first win of the season.

Coming off an 0-2 start, in which both games saw atrocious second half’s from the Knicks, they were finally able to put a wire-wire game together, against a championship-contender in the Milwaukee Bucks. After tight first quarter, which saw the Knicks lead 33-27, the game opened up for New York in the second, as they went on a 16-4 run over the last 3:25 of the half to take a 61-45 lead, behind the lights-out three point shooting of Payton, and Randle, as well as the work down low by Mitchell Robinson. But, forgive Knicks fans for not getting too excited, for we had seen this movie of woeful second halves the last two games, and it seemed tone transpiring again, as led by Giannis Atentekumpo, Milwaukee on a run from down 70-50, with the Bucks going on a 14-6 spurt, to cut the deficit down to 12, as the two time reigning MVP, would submit a fine performance of 27 points, keeping his squad in it, as he had done so many times before.

But the duo Payton, and Randle would not let the Knicks fall in this one’s their hot shooting late in the third, stretched the New York lead to 21 at 96-75, headed into the fourth quarter. All that was left of this stunning upset, which would send virtual Knicks nation into euphoria was to finish it, and that’s exactly what this team did. Frank Nitikila, RJ Barret, and Kevin Knox, would help maintain the lead, with their aggressive play on both sides of the ball, as the Knicks finished the night with 16 three pointers, their first win of the season, and the biggest upset of the NBA season thus far, sending Knicks fans into a frenzy all over social media.

Now at 1-2, the Knicks will travel to Cleveland to battle the undefeated Cavaliers (3-0) on Tuesday night(12/29). Tip-off is at 7:30PM.
