COMBACK KIDS! YANKEES RALLY TO STUN O'S, KEEP HOLD OF FIRST!

They didn't have too. Down 6-1, the Yankees could've folded, and turned their attention to the next three games of this series. The Yankees universe would've understood, that as disappointing as tonight was, these types of games will happen to you.

But they didn't do that, as the Yankees once again showed their " Next man up" mentality , and stormed back to defeat the Baltimore Orioles 10-7 in front of a pro-Yankee crowd at Camden Yards.

JA Happ didn't have his best stuff tonight, but was let off the hook, as the Yankees comeback was keyed by 2HRs by Gleyber Torres, some small ball hits, and then the big blow by Gary Sanchez in the 9th.

The Orioles came hot out of the gates, as Trey Mancini, and Pedro Sevevrino racked up RBI hits, to give the Orioles an early 2-1 lead after 1. However, the Yankees would come right back, as Gleyber Torres torched the Orioles once again by going deep off Andrew Cashner to get the Yankees on the board and cut the O's lead to 2-1.

But just when you think the Yankees were about to take control of the game, the Orioles pounded Happ, as Hanser Alberto and Renantendo Nunez both smacked HRs in the 3rd, before an Alberto RBI single in the 4th, which was followed by a Dwight Smith JR RBI single, to give the Orioles a commanding 6-1 lead, and force Happ to be pulled after just 3.2 innings.

As for Andrew, he continued to stymie the Yankees offense, doing a great job of mixing up his pitches until the 6th, when the Yankees strung some hits together, and cut the Orioles lead in half, as Gary Sanchez, and DJ LeMahieu played some small ball by racking up RBI hits to cut the Yankees deficit to 6-3. The Orioles would come back however, as they were determined not to let Cashner's tremendous performance go to waste, as Mancini drove in his second run of the night with a sac fly to give the Orioles a 7-3 lead with 9 outs to play.

But as the old saying goes "It ain't over till it's over", and the Yankees proved this game was certainly not over, as they put runners on first and second against Orioles reliver Brandon Klein with 0 outs for DJ LeMaiheu in the 7th, who lined an RBI single to left, to score Gio Urshela, which set up Aaron Hicks's RBI sac fly to cut the Orioles lead to 7-5 with 6 outs to play.

It should be noted that the Yankees bullpen, was a key reason why this comeback was made possible, as tonight it was Cessa, Holder, and Zack Britton keeping the Yankees in the game, and allowing their offense to score some runs.

Headed into the 9th, the Yankees felt confident they could rally, as they were only down 7-6, courtesy of another Gleyber Torres HR in the 8th off Michel Givens that cut the Baltimore lead to a single run entering the 9th against Givens.

In order to tie the game, one thing you need is baserunners, and that is exactly what happened as Brett Gardner singled, and Camron Maybin showed off his hustle with a double, to set the stage for LeMaiheu , as the Yankees had runners on second and third with 0 outs, and only needing one run to tie the game. Dj didn't provide that, as he grounded out to third, but Aaron Hicks did, as he lofted a sac fly to left to complete the Yankees comeback and tie this game at 7.

Now having tied the game, the Yankees looked for the lead, as Luke Voit came to the plate with a runner on third, and two outs, who popped a ball up behind the plate for Pedro Severino to catch and end the threat, except he lost sight of it and the ball fell to the ground keeping the at bat alive for Luke, who walked to put runners on the corners for Gary Sanchez.], who smacked a booming go ahead 3runHR to left, to stun the Orioles, and rejuvenate the Yankees, as they took a 10-7 lead into the bottom of the 9th for Aroldis Chapman who locked down the save, to secure the best victory of the Yankees season to date 10-7.

ROSTER MOVES:
