ELIMINATION-MANIA! SCQ HAS ITS BEST DAY YET WITH JAW-DROPPING HOCKEY.

The play-in round mostly came to a close on Friday, with some thrilling and jaw-dropping hockey. Without wasting any more time, let’s get into the action.

ISLANDERS 5 PANTHERS 1

Anthony Beauvillier scores two early goals to get the Islanders off and running, as they hammered the Panthers 5-1 in game 4, eliminating them from the Stanley Cup Playoffs. As for New York, they will take his dominant performance into the round of 16, where they will meet the winner of the Bruins-Capitals round-robin game on Sunday. Preferably, the Islanders should want Washington, as that is coach Barry Trotz’s old team and nobody knows them better, then him.

PREDATORS 3 COYOTES 4F/OT

Brad Richardson is the OT hero, as behind that game-winner and a 49 save performance, by Dorsi Kemper, the 11 seeded Coyotes completed a shocking upset of the 6 seed Nashville Predators, with an exhilarating game 4 victory for the ages.

The series win is the first for the franchise in 8 years, as they now wait to see who they will face in the round of 16.

PENS 0 CANADIANS 2

Cary Price records shutout, as 12 seeded Habs eliminate Penguins, with game 4 victory. This will go dow as one of the biggest upsets in playoff history, as Montreal will await the winner of the Flyers-Lightning game to see who their opponent will be in round 2.

OILERS 2 BLACKHAWKS 3

Defensive-minded BlackHawks shut down Oilers, to complete another 12 vs 5 upset. With this win, Chicago will await the winner of the Golden Knights-Avalanche round-robin game with the loser facing the 11 seeded Arizona Coyotes in round 2.

MAPLE LEAFS 4 BLUE-JACKETS 3 F/OT

They’re not done yet!!!!!!!! Down 3-0 in the 3rd period with 5:00 remaining, Toronto keeps season alive with a thrilling OT win over the Blue Jackets, to force a decisive game 5 on Sunday.

CANUCKS 5 WILD 4

Christopher Tanav scored 11 seconds into Ot, as the Vancouver Canucks ousted the Minnesota Wild, for their first playoff series win in 9 seasons.
