On Tuesday(3/31), we saw the final elite eight games take place, with Gonzaga trouncing USC 85-66 to remain undefeated at 30-0, and the 11 seed UCLA, staving off a furious one-seeded Michigan attack, 51-49 to complete the improbable "first-four to Final-four" run.
The Wolverines pushed the pace down 50-49 In the final seconds, but an air-ball trey, and a missed layup, gave the Bruins some free throws, which they knocked down one of two, to extend the lead to two. Michigan rushed up the floor with six seconds remaining, but two missed three-pointers, ended their season in the elite eight, with UCLA surviving for their fourth straight winner-take-all win. Up next for the Bruins though, are the undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs. However, if anyone can do it, it's definitely UCLA, who have become the "upset kings" tournament. This all started in the first four, in a round where they barley made it through, needing OT to shock Michigan State, before also sending six seeded BYU, 14 seeded ACU, the two seed in Alabama, in overtime, and now the one seeded Michigan Wolverines.
FINAL FOUR SCHEDULE (4/3)
