It was an action packed opening day of the JV hockey playoffs that ended with a blockbuster Semifinal matchup , we can’t wait to see!
The North Shore Stars (8-2-1) will face the Kushner Cobras (10-1) in the semifinals, after the Stars stung the SAR Sting 6-2 , and the Cobras clipped the Ravens 5-0.
Because of conference seeding , the game will take place at North Shore, at a TBA date. This is huge for North Shore , as they lost to Kushner earlier in the season at the Cobras small rink 14-1.
But now, the Stars will have the home court advantage, as their court will take some adjusting for the Cobras, because the Stars have a huge court , that is wide and has big nets.
This game should be a slugfest, because of both teams powerhouse offenses!
Kushner averages 7 goals per game , and while the Stars average only 4 goals a game , there home average is astonishing with 5 goals per game in only 6 home games , so far this season!
Both teams have, great defenses, especially the Stars , who besides the Kushner game, have allowed only 2 goals a game this year, which is really hard to maintain in what many people refer to as a high scoring league.
As for Kushner, they have allowed 2.5 goals per game on big courts this season.
Nevertheless, this game should be exciting and come right down the end, can’t wait to see what happens!!!
