HAPPY FELLA! GIO’S BLAST LIFTS YANKEES PAST BOSOX FOR 5TH STRAIGHT WIN!

Masahiro Tanaka made his return, Aaron Judge went deep again and Gio Urshela blasted a grand slam, as the Yankees defeated the Red Sox 5-2, for their 5th straight win.

Zack Godley started for the Red Sox, and the Yankees got to him early, as Aaron Judge went deep in the 1st, before a Gio Urshela grand slam in the 2nd, gave the Yankees a 5 run cushion. Masahiro Tanaka, made his 2020 debut for the Yankees, and went 2.2 innings of 3 run ball with 4K’s, on a limited pitch count of 51 pitches. From there, Luis Avilan went 1.1 scoreless innings, before Nick Nelson made his MLB debut for the Yankees, and went 3 scoreless innings, pitching a masterpiece, and seemingly comfortable out there on mound retiring Red Sox hitters with ease. The last 2 innings saw David Hale enter and close it out for his first career save securing the win.

The Yankees will go for the sweep on “Sunday night Baseball”, when James Paxton takes the ball against Red Sox Opener Austin Brice. Game time is 7:08PM.
