On Friday evening(12/25), Saints RB Alvin Kamara became the first player in 91 years, to score six touchdowns in a single game, as the Saints rolled past the Vikings 52-33, at Mercedes Benz Dome in New Orleans. The 52 points are the most allowed by a Vikings defense since 1953, with this loss eliminating them from playoff contention.
Although ousted, they still have a potent offensive trio, led by QB Kirk Cousins, Rookie of the Year candidate WR Justin Jefferson, and WR Adam Thielen. As for the Saints, they have clinched the AFC south division, and can still nab the bye spot in the NFC playoffs, if they defeat the Panthers in their season finale, the Packers lose to the Bears, and the Seahawks overcome the 49ers. It would then put all three teams at 12-4, making the tiebreaker “conference record”, where NOLA would be number one, followed by the Seahawks, and then Green Bay in third.
