JDSA UPDATE: 3rd-4TH GRADERS SLUGGING BALL OUT OF YARD

3rd-4th grade softball JDSA scores:


Elliot MENEGED had 3 hits, a HR and RBI, while Billy Hidary tacked on 3 hits and Abie Vziel added 4 as Slices took down Retro Grill 9-7. Despite the defeat, David Esses had himself a day with 3 hits, a bomb and four RBIs.


7/11 3rd-4th grade

  • In the Homer of the year thus far, David Hasbani walloped a grand slam as Pizzia Plus “Sliced” back into the standings with an exhilarating 7-3 win over the Slices. Eddie Imani also went yard twice in the win.


  • Victor Antebi had four hits and four RBIs, Moshe Ovadia sent one over the fence and had a multi-hit game with four RBIs as well, as Retro “Grilledl Holy Schnitzel with nine runs in two innings en route to a 13-9 victory starting the week off right.

  • Jacob Orfali had a career day with two HR and five RBIs propelling Eat N run, who sprinted to a quick 10-4 lead and made it stand up for a 13-9 win over Essen. Despite the defeat, last weeks MVP Ezra Ashkenazie went yard twice with four RBIs continuing his stellar play, while Howie Azizo bombed out of the yard as well.

  • Eddie Setton knocked in 7RBIs, while Jack Novick went deep and had 4RBIs as Mikes Chicken staked out to a a 16-0 leads against #2 seed Glatt Bite and didn’t relinquish it for a 19-11 win allowing them to remain undefeated.



7/14:

  • Solly Turkieh deposited his fifth Homer of the season and had two RBIs, Victor Antebi batted in two, while Isaac Edery and Moshe Ovadia helped the Retro’s grilling of slices with RBI’s in the 6-3 victory.


  • Mikes Chicken remained undefeated with a tidy 3-2 win over a belligerent Holy Schnitzel team that nearly stole their first win out from under the chicken.

  • Mark Edelstin astonished with three hits, two homers, and two RBIs, Elliot MENEGED surmounted his previous privy’s with a bomb, three hits and three RBIs, while Yehuda Bearkat added onto the onslaught with his own “Hitrick” and two runs batted in as Glatt Bite defeated Essen 18-10.

  • In the “Saucy Series”, Eat N run sprinted to an 11-3 lead traversed by Morris Sayegh’s elephantine four hit, homer and an RBI afternoon, as well as park jobs by Micheal Souid, Morris Sadia, and Jacob Orfali. It seemed as if a plausible conquest was all but done, but Pizzia Plus had shown their elasticity with recent rallies and bravura’d that trait by entreating another one on Thursday, as big games by several players set up the dramatic comeback.

Alan Chakalo, David Raoul, David Hasbani, and Elias Ash went yard, with Jacob Israel homering, driving in four, and Eddie Imani walloped two over the fence as Pizzia plus earned their fourth tie of the season with a 13-13 draw.
