JUST KEEP ON WINNING!! PATS SHUT DOWN RAMS FOR 6TH PARADE BERTH.

Well, at least we can all say that we watched the boringest Super Bowl ever .

The New England Patriots shut down the high flying offense of the Rams , in rout to a 13-3 win in Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta.

Coming into the game , everyone expected a shootout, but it was anything but that, as the score remained 0-0 after 1. The only scoring chance in the first 15 minutes Carmen on a missed FG by Pats kicker Stephen Gonkowski.

In the second, Gonkowski , redeemed himself, as the Tom Brady , and Julian Eedelmen duo torched the Rams defense, setting up the FG.

As for the Rams offense, it was all punts in the first half. So with that, we arrived at the Maroon 5/ Travis Scott halftime performance with the Pats only up 3-0, and both teams clearly frustrated about the lack of offense.

In the third , more punts came from LA punter John Heckelr , whos punts paid off here ,as he broke a record for the longest punt in SB history with a long 65 yard punt in the 3rd Quater.

Meanwhile, The Rams defense held TB12 in check, as the Patriots couldn’t really get anything going against the fearless LA D.

Late in the 3rd, the Rams finally marched towards the red zone , as Jared Goff was able to get his team in position, for a touchdown score , if only Brandon Cooks didn’t drop that pass in the end zone, that made the Rams settle for a 58 yard Zurlein FG to tie it at 3 after 3.

In the 4th, Brady came to the rescue, as he marched his team down the field for the first TD of the game , which was a 1 yard TD run by Sony Mitchell, to give the Pats a 10-3 lead!

Jared Goff tried to answer back my marching his team down into the Red zone , but Cooks dropped another end zone pass, before the Pats blitzed Goff, and forced him to throw an interception, essentially sealing the game , as the Pats ran down the clock for a Super Bowl sealing Stephen Gonkowski FG that set off Championship celebrations in Boston for the second time in 98 days.

Any slim chance the Rams had in the finals seconds were wiped away , when Zurlein missed an easy FG for him to the left.

Overall, Bill Belichick outsmarted Sean Mcvay, as the Pats rolled to their 6th SB win in 17 years! However, this time it wasn’t Tom Brady getting the MVP it was Julian Edelman, who made 10 catches for 41 yards on the night.

Fun facts :

Tom Brady has the most SB rings out of any player with 6.

Bill Belichick is the oldest coach to win an SB at age 66.

The Pats and Steelers are tied for the most Super Bowls with 6.

All I can say is Congratulations New England again..., and Congrats to the Boston area, enjoy yet another celebration.
