It’s been 217 days since that final knee was taken at Raymond James Stadium in South Florida, and history was made. The Tampa Bay BuccaneersWho had already become the first team to have home-field advantage in the big game just by their appearance, had been led by 43-year-old QB Tom Brady vanquished the reigning champion Kansas City Chiefs to cap off an eight-game winning streak (Including their previous three being road playoff wins) dating back to Week 13 until that very moment. But after a flurry of offseason moves, an extra game being added to the schedule, and the roar of the fans being allowed back in their seats across all 30 stadiums for 2021, the 102nd of the traditional National Football League campaign is set to begin anew on Thursday when the Bucs host the Dallas Cowboys. But football also brings a new Fantasy season for fans(And let’s be honest players) alike. Whether you are a fan of it or not, the 17th game will add extra intrigue, and revenue to this iconic sport, which can also be fun to predict.
WEEK 1 PREDICTIONS (Parenthesis indicate Marv’s record predictions on the year)
THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:
Dallas Cowboys(9-8) @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers(13-4)
GAME PREVIEW: Tom Brady, 44 will now embark in pursuit of his eighth Super Bowl title, in full tow after playing through a torn MCL during his 20th season in the NFL. With all 22 starters from their Super Bowl title run, in addition to TE’s Oj Howard, and Cameron Brate should only keep the drive alive from Weeks 1-18, and beyond for a repeat and the franchise’s third straight since 2003.
Dallas on the other hand is just hoping the guys stay healthy after a dismal 6-10 season, which saw QB Dak Prescot suffer a season-ending injury and a staggering regression from star RB Ezekiel Elliot. The Cowboys' offense is expected to be somewhat formidable with the return of their franchise star, the refunded production of Zeke, and WR Cedee Lamb. But the biggest concern will be on the defense who allowed the most points in franchise history last season with 473(29.6 per game). First-round pick LB Micheal Parsons will be asked broadly out of his football IQ and his defensive versatility if the Boys want to contend in the NFC this season, let alone the Eastern(AKA NFC ”Least”) division.
PREDICTION: Cowboys 13 Buccaneers 24
On “Banner night” at the stadium where it all took place, Brady goes for two touchdowns, gets help from his running game, and a defense that will “Bring the house” early and often, testing the likely rusty Prescot who will see proven Super Bowl champion edge-rushers plowing through a beleaguered offensive line all evening long.
SUNDAY SLATE: 1:00 PM ET GAMES:
Philadelphia Eagles(5-12) @ Atlanta Falcons(6-11)
GAME PREVIEW: Jalen Hurts is officially the QB of the future in Philly after Carson Wentz was shipped to the Colts in the offseason. But it likely won’t amount to much this season for a young team now starting from the ground up after a Super Bowl win in 2018. They do have some electric playmakers in WR Quez Watkins in his sophomore year, and young DE Josh Sweat. But this season will be centered around the development of their
Quarterback now NO1 on the depth chart for a full season.
For Atlanta, offensively-minded Arthur Smith will make his NFL debut on Sunday, with QB Matt Ryan, free-agent acquisition in RB Mike Davis, WR Calvin Ridley, and TE Kyle Pitts at his disposal. The question marks though like around the defensive, and offensive lines, which was why the Falcons suffered an abounding of devastating defeats the last time they hit the turf.
GAME PREDICTION: Eagles 27 Falcons 17
Jalen Hurtz puts on a show, and Miles Sanders anchors the running attack for a couple of trips to the endzone. Meanwhile, the Philly defense suffocates Matty ice and makes a good first impression on the NFC East.
NY Jets(5-12) @ Carolina Panthers(6-11):
GAME PREVIEW:
The phrase “Out with the old, and In with the new” gets thrown around loosely but its what the Jets are hoping for out of NO 2 overall pick Zach Wilson, especially in his NFL debut against draft bust Sam Darnold, who is looking for a career revival with the Cats, after four forgettable years playing for Gang Green. Also making his NFL debut will be new Jets coach Robert Saleh, who can only improve a franchise that witnessed a 2-14 campaign, and the axing of old coach Adam Gase. 2021 presents another season of the “QB & Coach “Carousel” for a franchise that hasn’t found a match since Mark Sanchez, and Rex Ryan last decade. However, I wouldn’t expect anything less from Wilson, who showed in the preseason he clearly has more football awareness and is more mobile than Sam was when taking his first Jets snaps. One of the minuscule strengths from last season was New York’s O-line and led by sophomore Mekaei Bechton, they should be able to sustain enough defensive pressure to allow Zach to work his magic and turn in fancy footwork into highlight-reel plays for fellow freshmen WR Elijah Moore among other youngsters on this offensive unit looking to blossom. This is a team that may win the “Fun team of the year” award from fans, with coach Saleh specializing with the developing DE’s, and LB's.
Meanwhile, the Panthers are banking on Sam Darnold making maximum use of his weapons in super-Novak RB Christian McCaffrey, and WR’s DJ Moore, Robby Andreson(Facing his former team for the first time on Sunday), and Terrance Marshall JR to his advantage. If he can do that, then all the “Young Beasts” on the defensive side of the ball led by Brian Burns, and the new addition Hassoun Reddick only need to hover around consistent mediocrity for the Panthers to be a potential playoff contender in the NFC. But the question as always with Darnold is his efficiency which is what most likely will make or break his team's season.
GAME PREDICTION:
Jets 31 Panthers 13
Just like Darnold, Zach Wilson has a historic debut, for over 190 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions while the Gang Green defense sticks it to Darnold in a feel-good season-opening victory for the Jets.
LA Chargers(11-6) @ Washington Football Team(8-9)
The goal for LA is simple, and that’s to build on what happened last season. Just to refresh your memory, Justin Herbert set an NFL rookie record with 31 TD passes, en route to his AFCOROY victory. Unfortunately, the performance didn’t help the team make the playoffs, who finished 7-9. But the belief is that after overhauling the o-line, and a more experienced defensive unit that the Bolts can be a legitimate playoff contender, and I personally agree with those notions. Herbert is incredible, and will likely only get better if he stays healthy, meaning although the defense was weakened with the loss of Melvin Ingram in free agency, safety Jerry Tillery doesn’t need to amount much alongside Joey Bosa and the LA defense.
For Washington, the only need they failed to address this past offseason was acquiring an official team name. Otherwise, the additions of QB Ryan Fitzpatrick who will take over the starting role, joining new Washington acquisition in WR Curtis Samuel will only make the reigning NFC East champs(Albeit 7-9) stronger. But last year’s playoff squad made their impact on defense and led by Chase Young, and Williams Jackson III, they’re poised to get after it again. With Ron Rivera at the helm, the question once again falls back to how Fitz will dictate the offense, and if it plays up to its potential, the Football Team can become the first team since 2004 to repeat as champs in the NFC” Least” division. Then maybe, an official team name will be on the horizon.
GAME PREDICTION: CHARGERS 27 WFT 23
Like most games with both teams last season, this one will go right up until the end. Don’t be surprised if the Chargers break ahead by double-digits only for the defense to squander it because it’s what they did four separate times in 2020. Both of these teams match up well with each other because of the lack of differences between their play styles, and being that’s it week one, they’re still trying to make it all work. Ultimately, Herbert will lead his team down the field for a score, and a last-minute defensive stand gives the Bolts their first victory of the season on the road.
San Francisco 49ers(13-4)@ Detroit Lions(0-17)
Welcome everyone to the official San Francisco revenge tour. Last year was a lost season due to basically everyone getting hurt simultaneously leading to a 6-10 finish. But 2021 brings a fresh start, and with the gang back together again now including WR Brandon Aiyuk, and DE Dee Ford, I believe the 49ers have what it takes to become a contender for the NFC crown once again if QB Jimmy Garoppolo stays healthy. But if not, they can always use their fallback option, and kickstart a rebuild under rookie Trey Lance. San Francisco is like All-state right now, “They’re in good hands.”
Detroit is the opposite end of the spectrum as their Week 1 opponents, having just cleaned house, letting go of coach Matt Patricia and QB Mathew Stafford for Dan Cambell and Jared Goff. What this organization need is someone to ignite some fire, passion, and energy of what it means to play for Motor City. That won’t be represented by the wins, and losses(Trust me, many L’s are on the way), but how they play the game of football. It’s a new era in Lionville, and it’s one that will begin with trash bags over the heads of these loyal fans, but hopefully, within the next 5-7 years, resulting in a euphoric celebration of ecstasy and glory. Good luck Lions, and to the fans who wish to embrace the 2021 campaign, all the kudos to you because you're for an embarrassment of epic proportions.
PREDICTION: 49ers 49 Lions 10
There’s always that lopsided week one scoreline that stands out to you, with last year being the Raven's trouncing the Browns 38-6. This year will be no exception, as Jimmy G throws for three touchdowns, Brandon Aiyuk hauls in two, the defense notches a pick-six courtesy of the all-star pressure by Nick Bosa, and running game devours the defense for a couple of scores themselves led by Rasheed Mostert rookie Elijah Mitchell. It will be a coming-out party for the team on a mission in the motor city.
Pittsburg Steelers(11-6) @ Buffalo Bills(13-4)
If we learned anything about this Steelers team from last year, it’s that in order to reach their maximum potential full health must be in order. The team's downfall from 12-0, to almost missing the playoffs, then finishing 13-3, only to be stunned at home by the AFC-North rival Browns 45-38 in the Wild Card round was due in large part to how decimated by injuries this team was upfront. Yes it’s true there are no excuses for how the team flattened out of the gate in that postseason contest quickly falling behind 28-0 in the first quarter, but the special teams' performance as well as the lack of protection for QB Ben Roethlisberger didn’t positively aid to the cause themselves. The big names on this team are endless, aside from Big Ben, TE Ebron, WR Chase Claypool, first-round pick RB Najee Harris WR James Washington, WR, Juju-Smith-Schuster TE Diontae Johnson, will pose a nightmare for opposing coaches on a weekly basis. Oh and don’t even get me started on the defense, who ranked first in pass defense with a 76.7/100 rating in 2020, and posses physical monsters like TJ Watt(15 sacks in 2020), the addition of Melvin Ingram, Joe Schobert, and Devin Bush who will be returning after only appearing in five games last season due to an ACL tear.
However, the scoring will only commence with good protection for Big Ben which is a glaring weakness in an offensive line that was renovated this past offseason. But if this new group can somehow put up formidable numbers consistently, who can stop Pittsburg from dreaming of Super Bowl #7?
Your answer can and still will probably be the AFC powerhouse Buffalo Bills.
It finally happened folks, as after years of waiting, rebuilding, and maneuvering Bills mafia finally had a team they can get behind. It was one led by a 25-year-old phenom in QB Josh Allen who finished second in MVP voting to Aaron Rodgers and is blossoming into a superstar before our very eyes. It was one that featured offensive superstars in WR’s such as Stephon Diggs and now Emmanuel Sanders, and a loaded roster of youngsters with something to prove in Gabriel Davis, and Cole Beasley. This group brought home a division championship and two playoff victories(Both at home) to the city of Buffalo, letting their fans rejoice for the first time since 1994 when they lost the fourth of their four straight Super Bowls. This team had “Big-game bound” written all over it, but was unable to overcome the Kansas City Chiefs 38-24, being outclassed in every facet of the game. It was a humbling moment for the players, the fans, and those who have seen it all like Diggs who stayed on the field to watch the presentation of the conference trophy, saying this will stay fresh in his memory all offseason long. Well here we are Stephon, and from top to bottom, this is a group that led by coach Sean McDermott are ready to enter your living rooms on Sunday this year and give you something to think about en route to what will likely be at least another division crown, and maybe even behind.
PREDICTION: Steelers 24 Bills 35
On paper, this is a contest we may see in the postseason, and it will definitely feel like one. Both teams will have their moments and impose their strengths, but in the end, Josh Allen will somehow find a way to make the “Extra play”, with a key TD to Beasley in the second half, and Buffalo will pull away for the victory.
BOLD GAME PREDICTION: Najee Harris scores for Pittsburg in his NFL debut, and it will come in the first half.
Seattle Seahawks(11-6) @ Indianapolis Colts(7-10)
GAME PREVIEW:
I’ll just get it out of the way now. Ever since the Peyton Manning era ended in 2012, the Colts have been winless in season-openers. That should bode well for Russel Wilson, and the Seattle Seahawks, who did bulk up on defense this past offseason with the additions of Andrew Witherspoon, and Kerry Hyder to a defense that was top five in stopping the opposing team running game last season. QB Russel Wilson did his thing, rushing for 513 yards last season, while also connecting with the host of talent around him in stars like Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf among others. This is a Seattle team that still is confident it can hold their own amongst the best the league has to offer, after toughing out the NFC West title by going 12-4, before bottoming out in the Wild Card-round to the LA Rams 30-20. They can very well take the Western crown once again this year, though they better make the best of it because if they’re not there come Conference championship Sunday, Russ may want to “Cook” somewhere else at this point.
While Fantasy owners will gush over Jonathan Taylor, Zach Pascal, Micheal Pittman JR, Xavier Rhodes on the offensive side, and Deforest Buckner, and Darius Leonard (All-stars in 2020) on the other, my question is who exactly will be leading the team when they face off against the Seahawks on Sunday? It could be QB Carson Wentz who the organization acquired from the Eagles this past offseason, but he’s on the Covid- IR list and is nursing an injured foot, but still practiced without any limitations or setbacks on Wednesday. If it’s indeed Wentz, then it will provide some intrigue to a franchise that is hoping he can be the next Andrew Luck without the injuries, which is what drove him out of Philly. A new change of scenery can mean greatness for some, and it very well could for Wentz who has an affluent of firepower alongside him. The biggest question I personally have with Indy is depth because the secondary as backup QB in rookie Jacob Eason is in no way ready to now lead this team in his very first NFL season, which is why it will be up to Wentz to steady the tide and deliver some wins to the “Hospitality state”.
PREDICTION: Seahawks 28 Colts 14
Whether Wentz plays or not, the Seattle secondary will just be too much for the Colts to overcome. Russel Wilson grinds through a game in the trenches with some timely TD’s, and Seattle takes game one.
Minnesota Vikings(7-10) @ Cincinnati Bengals(8-9)
GAME PREVIEW:
The deciding factor on whether these Vikings will make a push for the playoffs, if their defense can hold up, because we saw the trifecta of QB Kirk Cousins, RB Dalvin Cook, WR Justin Jefferson, and WR Adam Thielen could do on offense. But as well as the offense did, the defense ranked 26th of 32 overall, leading to a disappointing 7-9 campaign. It’s why they overhauled practically that entire side of the roster, including bringing in
CB Patrick Peterson. The mantra “Defense wins championships” has never rang so true as it does now to the skol faithful, and will likely decide if the Vikings go anywhere at all this season.
Bengals fans can rejoice as the new face of the franchise QB Joe Burrow returns, who appeared in 10 games, passed for 13 TD’s, abs sported a QB rating of 89.8/100 before an ACL tear put an end to his potential ROY campaign. Now back in the saddle, and looking healthy, Joe can finish what he started by giving the jungle hope in 2021. Also on offense will be NO5 overall pick Jamarre Chase, WR Tyler Boyd, and sophomore WR Tee Higgins. But the problem as is with many young teams is the defense, who were dead last in sacks last season.
PREDICTION: Vikings 24 Bengals 21
The difference in this game will be Dalvin Cook, whose three touchdowns keep the Vikings in it long enough that they’re able to rely on Greg Joseph for a late field goal as time expires for the road win.
Jacksonville Jaguars(3-14) @ Houston Texans (4-13)
Haha QB Trevor Lawrence better be well equipped to embrace a fanbase that went 1-15, and tanked for him last season, which is what fans will take out of what’s expected to be another lost season in Florida.
Meanwhile, Tyrod Taylor will “fill-in role” for Deshaun Watson at QB, as Houston still figures out what to do with him. Welcome to an early battle of the basement NFL fans. Let the race in the TFC(Tank football conference) begin!
PREDICTION: Jaguars 25 Texans 17
For the Jags, Trevor Lawrence DJ Chark, new addition Marvin Jones JR, and James Robinson will feast on one of the worst defensive units in football, while Shaq Griffin and Reyshawn Lewis should be able to contain the Texans attack of Phillip Lindsay, Mark Ingram, and Rex Burkhead en route to coach Urban Meyers first win in his NFL debut as a coach for the Jaguars.
Arizona Cardinals(6-11) @Tennessee Titans(10-7)
Get ready for a slugfest, as this one should be a barnburner. On one side, QB Kyler Murray who was one of the main reasons his 8-8 team missed the playoffs last year after an encouraging 6-3 start but is now looking for revenge, and he will have many weapons in his arsenal. Stud WR’s like Deandre Hopkins, and seven-time pro-bowler AJ Green jump off the page, and RB’s such as James Conner and Chase Edmonds join them as well. This is especially when superstar JJ Watt is manning your defense, along with Isaiah Simmons.
However, they will need everything to go right against an offense that many say is the most potent in football, with Ryan Tannehill manning at QB, ready to sling it to a new teammate, & “ Titanic offense” member in WR Julio Jones, WR AJ Brown, and when it’s crunch time, hand it off to reigning NFL rushing-leader(2,027) Derrick Henry.
While this game should start a journey to the AFC South title for the Titans, it will not only serve as another learning experience for these young Cardinals but also a clash us NFL fans will sit back, and soak in.
PREDICTION: Cardinals 30 Titans 34
Although they won’t be showcased here, one of the new playmakers on that Titans secondary in Bud Dupree, and Denino Audrey will do something late in the game to slow the Arizona attack, and wrap up a win for the home team.
4:25 PM ET GAMES:
Miami Dolphins(9-8) @ New England Patriots(10-7)
GAME PREVIEW:
What a week one matchup we have here, as the two next generational QB’s of these very franchise in Tua Tagovailoa for Miami, and Mac Jones for the Pats who will make his NFL debut. Both QB’s won titles in Alabama, both having opportunities to shine respectively. But now, they will face off as “Frenemies” come Sunday. Both of these teams have the capability of reaching the postseason as a Wild Card, though this game will likely serve as an important step towards that down the road. No matter what happens this year, both organizations are hoping they can lock these two stars up and officially dub them “Our future” after the season comes to its rightful conclusion.
PREDICTION: Dolphins 20 Patriots 31
Jones will find a way to get new acquisitions in WR Nelson Agholor, WR Kendrick Bourne, TE Hunter Henry, TE Jonu Smith involved early, and often. However, a Dolphins defense that was top 10 against the passing game last season led by Xavien Howard, and will experience some youth with rookies Jaelan Phillips, and Jevon Holland making their NFL debuts. Mac will likely feed RB Damien Harris for stretches to wear down the defense in this contest.
Tua will try, and find his targets Devonte Parker, Mike Gasecki, and rookie Jaylen Waddle, but Kyle Van Noy, Matt Judon, Donta Hightower will have something to say about that.
Green Bay Packers(14-3) @ New Orleans Saints(8-9)
GAME PREVIEW:
The decision by Aaron Rodgers staying in Green Bay was a loyal one yet how does it translate on the field? On the other hand, Jamison Winston is the new QB of New Orleans post-Drew Brees era.
AR12 has Davante Adams, Marcus-Valdes Scantling, Alden Lazard, Robert Tonyan, and Aaron Jones. Winston has Alvin Kamara, and that’s about it in terms of fireworks.
PREDICTION: Packers 35 Saints 14
Aaron Rodgers picks up where he left off, and throws for four TD’s, and 270+ yards while NOLA has no answer in a crushing home defeat.
Cleveland Browns(10-7) @ Kansas City Chiefs(15-2)
GAME PREVIEW:
Last season's 22-17 Divisional loss to the Chiefs in Arrowhead, will be at the forefront of their minds as they head back there for their season-opener against the two-time reigning AFC champions. Cleveland added Troy Hill, John Johnson, and drafted Greg Newsome in the offseason to bolster their defensive attack. This to a squad already featuring vets in Myles Garret, Jadaveon Clowney who is coming over from Seattle this year. Baker Mayfield still has a loaded running game in Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, as well as a stacked WR unit led by Jarvis Landry.
Patrick Mahomes returns looking for revenge, after being embarrassed on the worlds biggest stage last season by the Bucs 31-9. So will Travis Kelce, Tyreke Hill, and Mecole Hardman. Need I say more?
PREDICTION: Browns 24 Chiefs 38
Mahomes has waited too long to get back out there, and will remind everyone who exactly he is, leading a furious KC attack, “Baking” Brownies of Cleveland's defense, and outshining Mayfield in the process. I also wouldn’t bet against Pat in September, as he carries a 10-0 career record in the season's first month.
Denver Broncos(8-9)@ New York Giants(9-8)
GAME PREVIEW:
The Giants have their man back in Saquon Barkley, and they could’ve used him last season, when they fell one game short of the NFC East crown. But he will be tested very early as Patrick Surtain, Kyle Fuller, and Ronald Darby will all be on his case.
Upfront, Bradley Chubb, and former Super Bowl MVP Von Miller will pressure Giants QB Daniel Jones, who is likely in his “Make or break” season. In the offseason, the G-Men bolstered their offense with the acquisition of Kennedy Golliday, and strengthened a standout defensive group with addition of Adore Jackson.
Teddy Bridgewater will start under center for the Broncos, and will have WR Jerry Judy, Courtland Sutton, and TE Noah Fant at his disposal. The hope for Denver is that Melvin Gordon will be able to carry the load now that he no longer needs to split time with Phillip Lindsay who’s in Houston.
GAME PREDICTION: Broncos 33 Giants 21
I’m a Giants fan, but I’m having trouble seeing them pull out a win here. Denver is the more experienced, and deeper group, and I feel it will be on full display come Sunday. NY keeps it close, but the Broncos have a big second half, and take game one on the year.
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:
Chicago Bears(7-10) @ LA Rams(12-5)
GAME PREVIEW:
Another year, means more QB controversy for the Bears who will spend much of this season debating if Justin Fields is ready to take the reigns at QB, or must it still be the veteran Andy Dalton. Regardless, David Montgomery, Darnell Moore, and Allen Robinson should combined to put up an abundance amount of points for the Bears offense this year.
As for the Rams, hello Matthew Stafford! He will not have to do much, as studs Jalen Ramsy, and Aaron Darnold should make up for any lack of scoring , but just in case Matt does have WR Van Jefferson, Robert Woods, Cooper Kupp, Desan Jackson for some big-time plays. While it will be intriguing to see how Stafford looks in his new uniform, it will also be interesting to see if this is the year he finally gets a legitimate shot at grabbing that elusive Lombardi Trophy.
PREDICTION: Bears 13 Rams 31
Why is this the game the NFL has chosen for SNF? I’ll be surprised if it’s even a close one, as Stafford tees off on a defense he knows all too well from his days with the Lions, and Los Angeles cruises.
MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL:
Baltimore Ravens(9-8) @ Las Vegas Raiders(9-8)
GAME PREVIEW
The AFC is going to be so tight with a boatload of over .500 teams, so while it’s only game one, this contest has plenty of early playoff implications to it as well.
The Raiders have QB Derek Carr coming off a resurgence season, WR Darren Waller, a new addition in WR Will Sneed, and RB’s in Josh Jacobs, and acquisition Kenyan Drake.
On the other side of the ball, Lamar Jackson returns with WR Marquise Brown, Mark Andrews as options, but has seen season-ending injuries to freight train RB’s in Marcus Peters, and Gus Edwards, and star WR in JK Dobbins. As athletic as Jackson is, he will have to go up against speedsters in Casey Heyward, and Yannick Ngakouke of the Las Vegas defense.
PREDICTION: Ravens 24 Raiders 27
This will be a battle of the fittest, but I personally think the losses of Edwards and Peters, will wear down Baltimore, and Carr will take advantage with a late game-winning drive to bring home the win.
AWARD PREDICTIONS:
MVP: Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
DOY: Aaron Donald, Rams
OFROY: Zach Wilson, Jets
DEROY: Kwiti Paye, Colts
MARVS FANTASY SLEEPERS:
QB’S: Tom Brady, Carson Wentz, Zach Wilson:
Brady has weapons around him at full strength, Wentz can be sneaky given he’s in a new place, and for the all the hype Wilson has received, he’s after all still a rookie, and with a Jets organization that historically don’t have great QB success.
WR: Randall Cobb, Corey Davis, Marquez Callaway:
Cobb is back with AR12, Davis will see many target attempts from Wilson in NY, and so will Callaway in New Orleans from Janis Winston.
RB: Javonte Williams, James Robinson, Micheal Carter:
Williams finished last year with 157 rushing attempts for 1,140 rushing yards and 19 rushing touchdowns an average of 7.3 yards per carry for North Carolina, and will have many chances to showcase that in the big leagues with Bridgewater under center. Micheal Carter can be a late-bloomer for the Jets this season as they go deeper into their roster, and James Robinson will feast on the fact that Travis Etienne is out for the year in Jacksonville.
TE’s: Logan Thomas, Jared Cook, Zach Ertz
All three have something to prove, and all three have mobile QB’s. Watch out!
