Likely Most Improved Player of the year, Deangalo Russel erupted in the 4th quarter for 27 of his career-high 44 points, as Brooklyn completed the largest comeback in franchise history! Then this past Friday, the Nets got a huge win over the Lakers 111-106, in LA. That loss is huge for the Lakers, as you will see later. Rangers: 29-33-13 Finally, the Rangers won a game in overtime, as Ryan Strome sent one home to lift the Blueshirts to a shocking 2-1 win over a playoff team the Toronto Maple Leafs, in Canada. Islanders: 44-25-7 It's going to be close! But I think the Islanders will defeat the Capitals to win the Metropolitan division! March Madness: I'm 33-15 through two rounds, in my bracket. The good news is, that my Final Four in Duke ( Just barely), Gonzaga, UNC, and Virginia are all still in! As for the first-ever perfect bracket, (Where someone predicts all 63 tournament games correctly) someone is 48-0, and needs only 15 games to make history! The bad news is, we don't exactly know who that person is yet but we will know soon! NBA: The Nuggets have joined the list of teams that have already clinched their spot in the postseason. The others are the Warriors, Bucks, and Raptors. Also in the NBA, something very historic has become official! FOR THE FIRST TIME SINCE 2005, LEBRON JAMES WON'T BE MAKING THE PLAYOFFS! Yes, it's true, as the loss to the Nets put the Lakers at 31-41, therefore, eliminating them from playoff contention.
NFL: Soon to be hall of Fame Rob Gronkowski announced his retirement on Sunday. The 30 year old spent all 9 seasons in a Patriots uniform, as he will retire with 3 SB rings, including one in what we now know was his last game ever. Super Bowl 53.
