Man this team was on fire !!!!
They upped their run to 9 wins in 10 games , before losing 2 in a row and now have set themselves back a bit in the play race.
Let’s see how this season pans out for Brooklyn!
Rangers : 17-14-7
Combined 5-13 since Thanksgiving, injures are really hurting this team, hopefully as the calendar turns, the Rangers do as well!
What’s really hurting this team, are the constant blown leads late in games.
I think if they fix that and start finishing games, they will get back in the playoff race!
Islanders: 21-13-4
This team is in the mix for a playoff spot, led by Mathew Barzel!
The Isles, are a combined 7-3 in their last 10!

NFC:
The Rams(13-3) clinched a 1st round bye , with their win over the lowly San Francisco 49ers.
The Eagles are in!!! Their win, coupled with the Vikings loss to the Bears, means the Eagles (9-7) will head to Chicago(12-4) In the WC round to face the Bears!
With their win over the Cardinals,the Seahawk(10-6) clinched the 5 seed and will travel to Dallas, to face the Cowboys(10-6).
AFC:
The Chiefs (12-4) crushed the lowly Raiders , to clinch the AFC #1 seed.
With their 38-3 win over the Jets(4-12) the Patriots (11-5) clinched a first round bye.
The Texans clinched the AFC South and the AFC 3 seed, after crushing the lowly Jaguars 20-3.
The AFC North came down to the wire !
The Steelers(9-6-1) 16-13 win over the Bengals , put pressure on the Baltimore Ravens (10-6) to defeat the mediocre Cleveland Browns , in order to make the playoffs.
They did just that, wining a tough battle 26-24, to knocks the Steelers out and notching the AFC 4th seed where they will host the Chargers (12-4) in the WC round .
In a win or go home , the Indianapolis Colts (10-6), steamrolled over the Tennessee Titans (9-7) , to clinch the 6th and final spot in the AFC !
Giants : 5-11
Ended the season with a 36-35 loss to the Cowboys.
Note : The 4-12 Jets fired their coach Todd Bowls , who finished 24-40 in 3 season with Gang Green.

The Los Angeles Angels signed catcher Jonothan Lucroy to a 1 year $3.35 million deal. It’s a good deal, for the Angels, because it improves their catching .
Catcher Yasmani Grandal turned down a 4 year $60 million offer from the Mets.
It would have improved the depth at the catching position for NY. But it wasn’t meant to be
The Reds have traded Robby Scott to Arizona for cash.

Mets, Astros in talks for pitcher Seth Lugo trade from NY.
Padres are the favorites for Sonny Gray.
Dodgers still the favorites for Kluber .
Reports have come out that Bryce Harper and Manny Machado don’t like the idea of playing in Philadelphia!!!!!

It was rivalry weekend at the Elementary level! MDY VS FLATBUSH!!!
Hockey:
Flatbush(6-4) clinched a playoff spot , by rolling past MDY 8-2! Jake Bibi, Marc Salame( 2X) Joe D Gindi(2 x) Eddie Dweck , Ceaser Tabeli And Hymi Gindi all chipped in on offense for Flatbush , while the stellar goaltending of Morris Hannon kept MDY off the board , except Morris Cohen and David Kish who scored for the Warriors (4-3).
B-ball:
6th Grade:
MDY rolls by double digits !!
7th grade :
Flatbush uses a big 4th to win 42-29!
8th grade :
In a rematch of last years final, MDY bested Flatbush in a thriller 31-30!
