MLB:

GAME 3. ORIOLES 4 YANKEES 3(11 innings)

In a battle of the bullpens, the Yankees failed to complete the sweep of their AL East rivals, falling 4-3 to the Orioles at Yankee stadium in the Bronx, NY.

After getting demolished in the first two games, the O’s sent their ace to the mound in Jhon Means, who had his work cut out for him, only going 4.2 innings of one run ball(An Aaron Hicks RBI single in the third), while allowing seven hits, with NY putting men on base however, unable to break through, and blow the game open. Meanwhile, offseason Yankees acquisition Jamison Tallion made his Yankees debut, and was solid, going 4.2 innings of two run ball, serving up bombs to Cedric Mullins, and Anothony Santander in the fourth inning, that put Baltimore in front. The game became a battle of the bullpens, with New York putting men aboard, but unable to get that breakthrough knock. That finally came in the ninth, when Gio Urshela kept the Yankees hopes alive for a sweep with an RBI double, forcing extras with the game even at two.

After both teams traded runs by scoring the auto-man on second, the game went to the 11th, where Chance Sisco singled off Chad Green, giving Baltimore the lead right back. The Yankees had a chance to retie the game, as DJ LeMahieu came up with men on the corners, and only one gone against Paul Fry, but a flyout to right in addition to a play at the plate, sealed a series-salvaging 4-3 victory for the Orioles.
