NFL DRAFT RECAP: TRANSACTION MANINA!

Here are my Thoughts on the 2020 NFL draft, mostly the 1st 2 rounds, because that’s players you will be likely hearing a lot of coming up very soon.... TOP 3 ALL CHALK: Joe Burrow to Cincy, Chase Young to Washington and Okudah to Detroit. Not suprised GIANTS ADRESS OT NEED: Andrew Thomas was not the o-line guy I was expecting the G-Men to take with the 4th overall pick, but they did and it’s a solid pick. He can protect Daniel Jones which is something Big Blue lacked last season. DOLPHINS HAVE FRANCHISE QB: Tua is one of the best QB’s in the draft class when heathy and he’s headed to the young and upstart Miami Dolphins. He’ll fit right in. CHARGERS FIND SUCCESSOR TO RIVERS: Justin Herbert has big shoes to fill in LA with Phillip Rivers having left after 16 seasons to join the Colts in Indy. SIMMONS TO CARDS: The young and explosive DT, Isaih is headed to the rebuilding Cardinal. Nice pickup! WILLIS TO BROWNS: I was expecting this OT for the Giants should they decided to go that route, but they choose Thomas and the speedy OT slipped down to number 10 in the Cleveland Browns. JETS GET OT: Let the Becton Vs Thomas debates begin! Although they missed out on big WR’s like Jerry Judy and Cedde Lamb, they have found their “Sam Darnold protecter” in Makchiil Becton, the 300-pound O-linemen. RUGGS TO VEGAS: Seems that this WR is part of their “Vegas splash plan”? Let’s see! Either way, Derrick Carr has a new man to throw too. WIRFS TO BUCS: Another weapon for Brady in Justwin Wirfs, nice job by Tampa Bay to trade up with the 49ers and make the pick on the star WR. JUDY TO DENVER: This new offense led by Drew Lock just got better in Jerry Judy. LAMB TO BOYS: Cowboys have another weapon for Dak Presscot in Cedee Lamb. REAGOR TO EAGLES: A WR instead of a DT/OT like they needed? Ok Philly, let’s see what happens! I love the pick though, Jordan will be a nice target for Wentz. LOVE TO PACKERS??? What exactly to the Packers “Love” about Jordan Love that they decided to select him with the 28th pick? I get if you want to draft a QB for whenever Aaron Rodgers retired but the 1st RD? Why not go for a WR? Then again, I love the player here, Love will be a great QB with some developing and he can very well do that under AR12. HIGGS TO CINCY: A weapon for Burrow in Tee Higgins, nice! SWIFT TO LIONS DEN: Guys were wondering when the top RB would get picked and he does with the 35th overall pick by the Lions. MCKINNY To G-MEN: Still don’t get how this great projected safety fell to the 2nd Round, but he did and the G-Men took him! What a steal! JETS ROLL DICE... AND IT WORKS!! They traded back 11 spots from the 11th pick in RD2 and still got the same guy in speedy WR Denzel Mims! Amazing job by GM Joe Douglas!! HURTZ TO PHILADELPHIA: What???? this shocked everyone, but on the bright side, now you can say the Eagles have the best 1-2 QB punch in football with 2 great and young guns in Carson Wentz and Jalen HURTZ GOODWIN TO PHILADELPHIA: What a steal! A late RD pick to the 49ers for a WR that can be great off the bench in Goodwin. GIANTS, JETS STICK TO PLAN: Great job by both NY teams here!! The Giants addressed the O-line and defensive backfield, while the Jets also addressed their O-line needs as well as some WR depth and a punter in Braden Mann. My perception of Dave Gettelman has changed and I’m really liking the job Joe Douglas is doing for the Jets. Keep up these great rebuild blueprints guys! REBOUND... SCORE!! After passing on Jordan Love and letting Teddy Bridgewater go in FA, the Saints finally found someone to back up Drew Brees this year in veteran QB Janis Winston, as they snatched him up in FA and signed him to a 1 year deal. PATS PASS ON QB: 6 draft rounds and no successor to Brady. Brian HOYER it is, or will you still try and acquire Cam Newton in FA? Only time will tell, as they look for a successor for TB12. What a weekend in the NFL transaction office! Hats off to ESPN and NFL Commissioner Rodger Goodell on an amazing “NFL Draft at home“.
