Two blockbuster trades have shaken up the NFL! The first one is Veteran RB David Johnson, a 4th round pick, and a 2nd round pick headed to the Houston Texans, in exchange for superstar WR Deandre Hopkins and a 4th round pick headed to the Arizona Cardinals. The second deal is All-Star DT(Defensive tackle) Deforest Buckner heading to the Indianapolis Colts, in exchange for a 1st and 2nd round pick to the San Francisco 49ers.
THOUGHTS:
I don’t know what the Texans are doing here. How did they not get a 1st round pick for the best WR in football? Nice veteran in Jonson, but this a downgrade for an offense anchored by young QB Deshaun Watson. As for the Cardinals, Kyler Murray has a weapon in Hopkins and I can’t wait to see this tandem link up this season.
TRADE GRADE:
Cardinals: A+
Texans: F
As for the Buckner deal, god deal for both sides! Colts get some much needed improvement on defense, while the 49ers get an extra first round pick in this years draft.
TRADE GRADE:
COLTS: B
49ERS: B
B’s because maybe more picks could be involved?
