Hello Giants nation and NFL fans, today I’m revealing to you my NFL playoff predictions as of 1/7/21. The Dolphins fell to the Bills, and the Cardinals fell to the Rams in week 17, thus both ending their seasons. As for us Giants fans, it was disappointing, because we did our job against the Cowboys winning it 23-19, but the Eagles fell to the Washington Football Team, handing them the NFC East. I know everyone may be upset about how Philly coach Doug Pederson, swapped in QB Nate Sudfield for Jalen Hurts down 17-14 in the 4th, thus “costing” the Giants their season. However, I’m not upset because of the move, as the Eagles weren’t playing for anything, and didn’t owe the Giants any favors; but the sad part is when the move it was made, making it obvious the Eagles were tanking the game away, to get the 6th pick in the NFL draft as opposed to 9th for some odd reason.
I’m more upset at Doug(Who admitted it was his move, not a front office decision) protesting the fairness of the game, rather than being at the Giants season being over, and the reason for that is, because they had several chances to gain that extra win, like week 7 in Philly,(When they blew a 21-10 lead with 2 minutes left in the 4th), week 8 against the Bucs(Blowing a 2TD lead in the 2nd half), and the first matchup with Dallas(When they blew a 10 point lead in the 4th), so they did it to themselves, and that’s what the players, and coaches echoed on Monday.
In the end, Washington won this division at 7-9, and won it because they were the best of the worst. I admire the personal courage of coach Ron Rivera, and QB Alex Smith. Also, the team without a name has won the division, how ironic is that? Congratulations to Washington fans, good luck going forward!
