1976: The comeback kids accomplish a rally for the ages, as the Phillies stun the Cubs, by roaring back from a 12-1 deficit for an 18-16 10 inning victory. It’s still known as the largest comeback in NL history and a game to remember for Mike Schmidt, who blasted 4HR’s for 8RBI’s in the Phillies win at Wrigley Field.
1987: Julius Irving becomes the 3rd player in NBA history to hit 30,000 points in a season. Wilt Chamberlain (1972) and Kareem-Abdul Jabar(1983) were the first two.
