APRIL 25TH:
1901: The Tigers rally from a 13-4 9th inning deficit for a 14-13 win over the Orioles! What a way to open your career at home as a franchise!
2009: Veteran QB Mathew Stafford drafted by Lions.
2019: QB Kyler Murray goes number 1 in the draft to the Cardinals.
APRIL 26TH:
1931: Lou Gehrig went deep for aHR that would’ve ultimately give him the HR title over Babe Ruth in a 9-7 road loss to the Washington Senators, but he was called out for passing the runner that was on base before him, So not only could’ve the HR tied the game, but it could’ve later gave him the HR title. We learn from this incident to “Follow the leader” on the base paths.
1964: Celtics defeat the Warriors in game 5 105-99 to bring home the NBA Championship.
1983: NFL legend Jhon Ellway drafted by Colts with the first overall pick.
1988: A 3rd referee per game is instituted in the NBA.
2018: Baker Mayfield gets drafted by the Browns with the first overall pick.
