REPORT: YANKEES OPEN TO TRADING STANTON.

Multiple reports have stated that the Yankees will ask Giancarlo Stanton to waive the NTC (No Trade-clause) in his contract that would allow him to be moved by the team in a deal.

Stanton currently has 8 years left on his 13 year ,$325 million contract he signed back in 2014 when he was still on the Miami Marlins. This make it tough to move him and I doubt Stanton agrees to it, as he is so close to a World Series title and he is one of the best sluggers in the league when healthy.

Unfortunately for him though , Stanton only appeared in 18 regular season games due to multiple injuries and only participated in 5 postseason games due to a grade 2 quad injury.

Personally, I feel like the Yankees would be asking Stanton to do this because they want to see how big would teams go to get a player of his caliber. The Yankees are in the market for an ace this offseason and just maybe a solid hitter, so that’s where a potential deal would be centers around should the Yankees decide to go to the trade-rout instead of the FA rout.

Either way it should be a wild offseason. Stay tuned!
