What a story! The Mets at the All star Break were 40-50, and all anyone talked about was them being sellers at the trade deadline. Their GM Brodie Van Wagen in frustration threw a chair in a meeting and with a controversial manger in Mickey Calaway, who was full of bad decisions that made Metsville furious. It looked like the Mets would be headed for another rebuild season.
But then out of nowhere, the Mets have went 17-6 since the break, won 11 of 12, acquired Marcus Stroman and are now over the .500 mark for the first time since early May! They have been led by a now red-hot starting rotation of Jacob Degrom, Noah Syndagard , Zach Wheeler Steven Matz and Marcus Stroman . They have also been led by one of the fast improving relivers in the game in Seth Lugo , the NL hitting leader in Jeff McNeil and when needed, potential Rookie Of the Year winner Pete Alonso.
Finally this Mets team has become the team we expected them to be at the beginning of the season (When i predicted them to go 90-72) their underperforming stretch is over!
Also it’s not too late for the Mets to make the playoffs, as at 57-56, they are only 2 games out of the second Wild Card in the NL.
This run has captivated me! It has shown me it’s a long season and you have to keep grinding which is why, as long as the Mets keep this up, i will be writing short passages on them nightly, similar to what I do with the Yankees. Don’t worry i am still a Yankees fan! But i love writing cinderella stories which is why I love writing about the 2019 Yankees who have their own Cinderealla story!

Saul Ancona ( The Biggest Mets fan I know) It’s unbelievable! At 40-50, i didn’t think we were going anywhere, down the drain we go again, Another terrible year. But now, the resilience in this team has captivated me, it’s amazing! I think we will be great going forward now for the rest of the year.
Brodie and Mickey have finally earned my trust! Now I love the Stroman deal!
I have a lot of faith in my Mets, so I knew that we could make something happen after we swept the Pirates right before the deadline. But no way in Metsville did I envision this happening. It’s really amazing how we as a Mets community have all come together. Let’s go Mets!!

You know, Throughout our franchise miracles have happened and I love being a fan of the little team in NY because, there is more excitement when something good happens! No pressure for us when something bad happens!
