Good day readers! So I was reading the “NY Post” this morning and I came across a very interesting article that I would like to share with you. It was written by Mike Vaccaro (@MikeVacc on Twitter), stating we need to use YouTube to our advantage with the Sports world on lockdown. We all have our favorite sports memories, of elation and we remember where we were when they happened or how we heard about them. So with sports on a hiatus, Mike says we can head to YouTube and watch the full game building up to that big moment we constantly replay in our minds. Mike says choose one game a day to watch, but we at The Marvzone are taking this a step further. Not only will we choose a game to fully watch on YouTube, but we will reconvene after and say what we learned from it, and how it could help us in our everyday lives. So without further ado, let’s get started!!
SPORT : NCAA B-Ball
GAME: UMBC 2018 UPSET OVER VIRGINIA:
Props to Virginia for coming back on a “Revenge tour” and winning the National Championship the next year, but this remains probably the greatest upset in college basketball history, because it was the first time a 16 seed had ever knocked off a 1 seed. To make this even more shocking, Virginia was ranked number 1 in the country coming into March Madness that year.
UMBC would go onto to lose in the next round to Kansas State, but they had already cemented there “One shining moment” with this epic win.
