Well... that was an iconic end to a week of baseball with the Cubs breaking the curse of the Billy Goat and winning the 2016 World Series. Before we head onto a new sport, let’s recap what we learned from there.
GIVE IT YOUR ALL:
Aroldis Chapman had thrown 102 pitches over the last two games and came into game 7 gassed, as it showed when he gave up the game-tying HR to Rajai Davis. But Chapman came back and worked a 1,2,3 inning keeping the Cubs alive.
SAVING THE BEST FOR LAST:
David Ross went out into the sunset on top, with one of the reasons being his HR in the 6th inning to give the Cubs a 6-3 lead.
USE THE EXPERIENCE TO FUEL YOU:
The Indians rolled to 102 wins the next season, including a historic 22 game win-streak and though they did get eliminated by the Yankees in the ALDS, it was still an amazing run and showed the Indians weren’t going down without a fight.
TODAY:
We hit the Tennis courts with the 2012 Australian Open Final, between Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal. Get your popcorn ready and enjoy!
