Hey everyone, just wanted to give an update on what’s happening with the leagues, as they try to find solutions with this Sports Lockdown.
MLB:
They have a few options:
Play all of their games in Arizona, using all 10 Spring Training fields, Chase Stadium where the D backs play, and other university + College fields. Games will be fanless, and players will sit 6FT apart from each other in the fans.
Play all their games in Japan
Have divisions based on their geographical Spring Training sights and Florida and Arizona.
Infra-league games only
Wait this whole process out
Cancel the season.
Personally, I say wait it out until it’s safe to play again with fans.
NBA:
They held an NBA player 2K tournament, which Devin Booker won and are now holding a virtual HORSE competition to keep fans and players active and engaged. Nice job guys?
NHL:
They’re thinking of doing a 24 team playoff-format, that would consist of 12 teams per conference, with the top 4 teams getting a first round bye, and the first round in each conference being a best of 3 series.
NFL:
It will be a virtual April 23-25th draft. Teams and coaches will make their decisions from their homes.
XFL:
Has folded and suspended all operations. It lasted 5 weeks.
PS: Hats off to everyone in the Sports community and around the world who have donated money to the health care workers and CaronaVirus relief.
