The goal coming into this offseason for the Philadelphia 76ers, was to try and improve their team, which was a hard thing to say after falling short in game 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals to the reigning champion Raptors on one of the luckiest , heart-stopping , gut-wrenching buzzer beaters of all- time by Kawhi Lenord this past season.
But they did, as they acquired a great role player in Josh Richardson from the Miami Heat in a blockbuster trade that sent Jimmy Butler to Miami. They also signed a great center in Al Horford, while bringing back star shooter in Tobias Harris , to complete a stacked starting lineup of Joel Emblid, Ben Simmons, Al Horford, Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson.
The only problem I have with this lineup is that they can't really shoot 3s. They are all size, and while they are really good at what they do and can make havoc in what is mostly a weak Eastern Conferene, I can't really say they matchup with the top tier teams in the NBA. Sure, they may have gotten slightly better despite losing Butler to Miami and JJ Reddick to the Pelicans, but they aren't there quite yet.
PREDICTION: 57-24. 2nd in the East, lose in ECF to Bucks in 7 games.
