STATE OF THE CLIPPERS!

I don’t believe I was the only one shocked when the Los Angeles Clippers took 2 games from the Golden State Warriors in round 1 of this years playoffs.

Even though they lost the series in 6 games, they had still put the NBA on notice. That got be thinking “Man all this team needs is a superstar to lead them, and they will be a force to reckon with in the West”!

Well with a lot of cap space going into the offseason, the Clippers went after the big fish on the market and when they pulled up the rod, they shockingly got a 2 for 1 catch!

Not only did the Clippers sign reigning NBA Finals MVP Kwahi Lenord, but on the same night, they also traded for superstar Paul George! Yes it did take a lot to get George, as the Clippers had to give up 5 future 1st round picks, as well as young guards in Sha- Gilguous Alexander and Delino Galanari to the OKC Thunder, but I think the Clippers wiki gladly take that for the top heavy team they have now!!

The Clippers now boast a starting lineup of Kwahi, Gerorge (Two of the best Two way players in the game. Meaning great on both sides of the ball) Patrick Beverley ( One of the best defensive players in game ) Miles Harkless and Marquis Harrel ( Two Young guards with tons of potential) as well as a good, young and proven hungry bench led by reigning 6th man of the Year in Lou Williams.

But the best the part of all this is that the Clippers did all of this in one night going from a Wild Card team, to NBA title favorites, as well as the projected Kings of LA! It’s madness!!!

Tip of the cap to Jerry West, who many people say is the greatest executive in NBA history for once again cementing his Hall of Fame status, by signing these two guys! Unbelievable! Get ready everyone, because here come the Clippers!

PREDICTION: 53-29, 2nd in the West, win NBA championship.

Now I admit this prediction may be a stretch, but I really think they are the title favorites right now. But this is the NBA! Anything can happen! Maybe the Lakers (Who are for en entirely different article) can rise up with their revamped roster and take down the Clippers! They certainly have a great chance of doing so! But when I do them, you will see why the Clippers are my Championship pick so far and not the Lakers. Stay tuned!!
