TANAKA TIME! HIRO STIFFLES MOTERS!

The moters in the Moter city couldn’t really get their engeins going on Saturday (9/1) as Masahiro Tanaka was able to stiffle the Tigers, in a 2-1 Yankees victory!

The game did start off to good for Tanaka , as alowed an early run. But was able to rebound after that , and throw six scoreless innings to finish his outing. Meanwhile, the HR ball rescued

Yankees again on offense!

I was confident when i saw the pitching matchup, Daniel Norris ( Tigers) , against Masahiro Tanaka ( Yankees).

Even though Tanaka has been up and down this year , i Was expecting him to best Daniel Norris , who was just coming off the 60 day DL for Detroit.

Tanaka got off to an auspicious start, as the Tigers loaded the bases with no outs in the first.

But Tanaka would rebound, and only allow one run ( as sac fly by Victor Martinez), to put the Tigers up only 1-0.

Just like Friday, the yankees offense stalled early on, as they were getting no hit Norris through 4 innings of play. But that would all change with one swing of the bat, as Gleyber Torres mashed a 2run HR to left field to give the Yankees their first hit, and a 2-1 lead!

Shortly after that blast, Norris left the game due to cramping issues.

The one run lead was all Tanaka needed, as he coasted through the next 6 innings ,without giving up a run. Masahiro, would even show his toughness, by getting out of a secondhand third 0 outs jam in the 7th! Tanaka's final line, was 7 innings , 1 run, 7 hits , 6 strikeouts!

as for the Yankee bullpen, Jonathan Holder would work the 8th,and Delin Betances would strand a runner, in the 9th to preserve the Yankees 2-1 victory!
