THE 2019 NFL PLAYOFFS ARE HERE! FOLLOW ALONG AS I GIVE YOU MY THOUGHTS!

Hey everyone! The 2019 NFL Playoffs are here! Follow along with me as we dive in!

1/3: PREDICTIONS:

The NFL playoffs start tomorrow, so I want to give you my predictions! Let’s get Into them!

WILD CARD ROUND:

Bills (10-6) Over Texans (10-6), and the reason why I say that, is because the Texans haven’t been good in the playoffs recently, and the only reason why the Bills are here, are because the Patriots on in their division and beat them out for the 11th straight year for it.

Patriots (11-5) over Titans (9-7)

Wait, the Pats in the Wild Card game? Yes, for the first time in 10 years that has happened because a surprising 27-24 loss to the 5-11 Miami Dolphins in Foxburrough on the last week of the regular season.

As for the Titans, they have rode QB Ryan Tanahill and Star RB Derek Henry to the postseason, edging out the 8-8 Steelers for the last AFC WC.

However, while it may not be the Pats year again I don’t see them losing at home in the playoffs for the 1st time since 2009.

I say the Patriots are victorious here.

Saints (13-3) over Vikings (10-6)

The Saints are arguably the best team in the NFC, despite the fact that they are the 3 seed. They have Michael Thomas at WR, (who broke the record for most Catches In a season with 145), star RB Alvin Kamarea and future Hall-Of-Famer in Drew Brees at QB.

As for the Vikings, while they have a string offense led by QB Kirk Cousins and WR Adam Thilen, I think the Saints (And the big crowd at the SuperDome) will be too much in the end.

Eagles (9-7) over Seahawks (11-5)

The Eagles have been the NFL’s version of the 2019 Yankees. This “Next Man up”

Mentality has gotten them an NFC East title and a home playoff game against a Seahawks team that is coming off a crushing 26-21 loss to the 49ers in the NFC West championship game, where they fell an inch short of victory.

Also, Carson Wentz has been waiting for this for so long, and I don’t think he disappoints here. Sorry Russel Wilson and Marshan Lynch, i feel the Eagles are kind of destined here but we will see what happens.

DIVISIONAL ROUND:

Ravens (14-2) over Bills (10-6)

Lamar Jackson, need I say more? The MVP has been the “Stephen Curry of football” changing the game with his deep ball and scrambling abilities. He also makes everyone around him better, and while the Bills do have a great team I don’t think it will be enough to stop Lamar and the white-got Ravens, especially in Baltimore.

CHIEFS (12-4) over Patriots(11-5)

Mahomes vs Brady for the 2nd straight year in KC. Mahomes will do everything in his power to win this game, as he has been waiting for this since last years heartbreaking OT loss in the AFC championship game to Brady and the Pats.

As good as Brady is, I don’t feel it’s New England’s year which is why I see the Chiefs advancing.

49ers (13-3) over Eagles (9-7)

The clock has struck midnight on Philadelphia. San Francisco And Jimmy Garapalo are on a mission and I think that they will be too much for the depleted Eagles to handle in California. 49ers roll to the NFC championship game.

Packers (13-3) over Saints (13-3)

This will be epic! Rodgers vs Brees In a battle of future Hall Of Famers in the frigid Green Bay conditions. Both of these guys will be slinging the ball, and scoring Touchdowns left and right! In the end though, Mason Crosby knocks it through and the Packers will eke out 33-30 Thrilling OT victory, that will go down in the history books as a classic, with big blow after blow.

Expect Micheal Thomas and Aaron Jones to have big games in this clash should it happen.

CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES:

Ravens (13-3) over Chiefs (12-4)

Lamar vs Mahomes will be even better than Rodgers vs Brees. It will be similar, but with a lot more action and Athleticism, with both QB’s leading the way. The media will be hyping this up all week, and wherever you turn “Mahomes Vs Jackson this Sunday” will appear.

In the end, this is Lamar’s year and I say he ekes out a 48-42 win, in what will be a first of many epic battles between these two.

49ers (13-3) over Packers (13-3)

The 49ers outstanding defense will come into play here, and as goo as the Packers defense has been in 2019, I don’t think it will be enough to stop Jimmy G and this determined 49ers squad. They end the Packers valiant effort by a couple scores here.

SUPER BOWL:

The stage has been set! Lamar vs Jimmy G! This will be a evenly matched bout with everyone on Both sides of the ball. A rematch of Smith vs Flacco in 2012, where Baltimore and Flacco eked it out 34-31 in a thriller. This will remind us of that game, with Lamar being the better QB here, wining it 27-24 over Jimmy G on a late FG by Justin Tucker.

1/4: Day 1 of playoffs

TEXANS 22 BILLS 19 F/OT:

What a game!! Deshan Watson ends the choking of the Texans at home in the postseason, but it didn’t come easy. The Bills jumped out to a 16-0 lead in the 3rd quarter, and were riding high from the first drive of the game, when the “Buffalo Special” put them on top early. But that’s when one of the upcoming QBs in the league, went to work as Watson engineered a furious comeback that had Houston rocking and a 19-16 lead late in the 4th quarter.

But some sloppy play, which led to a INT, which gave the Bills the ball back as they tied it with a FG to force OT.

In overtime, both defenses stepped up with some big plays aided by some careless offensive penalties.

In the end though, it was Watson who emerged victorious, as he led a game-winning FG drive in OT to lift the Texans to victory and send the Bills home.

TITANS SHOCK PATS:

As the legendary commentator Vinc Scully would say “The impossible has happened”. The Titans, behind superstar RB Derick Henry (2TDs And 175 Yards rushing), QB Ryan Tanahill and some clutch defense, have knocked off Tom Brady and the Patriots in New England 20-13!

Brady had one last chance to win it down 14-13 with a minute to go, but threw a pick Six sealing the win for the Titans.

1/5 Day 2!

VIKINGS STUN SAINTS

These upsets are amazing! The Saints had an amazing start to the games. Dalvin Cook started it off Over 100 yards and 2TDs! Vikings up 20-10 in the 4th!

After they traded FGs, a 50 yard TD bomb by Taysom Hill put the Saints up 10-3. But 17 unanswered points, led by Dalvin Cook put Minnesota up 20-10.

However, a Hill TD and a game-tying FG drive led by Brees forced OT and tied the game at 20. But in overtime, it was the Vikings who were the winners of this bout, as Kirk Cousins hit up Adam Thielend for the win to send the Vikings to California against the 49ers.

SEAHAWKS DOWN EAGLES:

I really feel bad for Carson Wendy, as he left the game in the 2nd quarter with a concussion, and it all went downhill from there. Props to the Eagles for keeping it close, but in the end it’s the Seahawks heading to Green Bay in what will be an epic matchup with the Packers next Sunday.

1/10: Divisional round day 1

49ERS ARE TOO GOOD:

Jimmy G proved that he is on a mission.

Great throw by Jimmy G, to get SF on the board 1st; but an amazing catch by Stephan Diggs ties it up for Minnesota.

Coleman finds the end zone for the 49ers to give them the leaf again, but a JG Pick led to a Vikes FG to cut the deficit to 14-10 at the break.

But since the half has started it’s been all the 1 seed;as an FG, a pick, another Coleman TD, another FG, the crowd noise, and unbelievable pressure defense lifted the 49ers to a 27-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings, which sends Kirk Cousins home.

DEJA TITAN:

This is unreal!!! Titans’ season defies logic! They, Started 2-4 , names Ryan Tanahil as their starter, QB revives career after being traded from Miami, TEN becomes a top offense in the league, they reach playoffs in final week after winning their final 4 games, Upset reigning champ Pats in New England , and have just Upset the No. 1 seed Ravens in Baltimore! They picked off the MVP, and pressured him early and often. Lamar was hesitant and made too many mistakes for his team to overcome. Meanwhile, Ryan, DH and the Titans offense was insane! They scored on back to back offensive drives to start the game and didn’t look back. Up 14-6 in the 3rd, (After two Ravens FGs) Derrick ripped off a 69 yard run, and then threw a TD pas to give the Titans a commanding 21-6 lead.

Then, a fumble recovery and a Tanahill TD essentially iced the game for the Titans, as they win it 28-12, and pull off yet another upset.

It’s onto the AFC championship game!

1/11

CHIEFS ROLL PAST TEXANS:

What a game! Don’t let the end score, 51-31, deceive you of how amazing of a game this was.

The Texans left the raucous Arrowhead crowd in stone-silence after the first quarter, courtesy of a 21-0 lead that stemmed from; TD on the opening drive, a block punt return TD, and a fumble recovery on a punt that turned into a TD.

Add an early 2nd quarter FG, and you had a 24-0 Texans lead with many already talking about the seemingly upcoming AFC championship game between the Texans and the Titans.

But their is always the possibility, of blowing big leads in the blink of an eye and that is exactly what happened. It only took 2 offensive plays, following the Houston FG for the Chiefs to score, as Patrick Mahomes found Damien Williams in the end zone for a TD that cut the Chiefs deficit to 24-7.

Moments later, a Texans turnover on downs after a fake- punt attempt failed, gave the Chiefs the ball in Houston territory, who wasted no time finding the end zone with another strike from Mahomes, to make it a 24-14 game.

KC wasn’t done, as they recovered a fumble on defense 2 plays later, and once again set up shop for the offense in the opponents territory.

Another KC TD from Mahomes, put the home team within 24-21, just 3:24 after being down 24-0.

Right before halftime, the Chiefs completed the comeback, with Mahomes finding Travis Kelce for a 28-24 lead.

The “Balling out” would continue in the second half, as the Chiefs racked up two more scores to run it up to 41-24, making it 41 unanswered points by the home team.

After the Chiefs answered a Texans TD, with one of their own early in the 4th quarter, to essentially salt the game away and go up 48-31, an announcement came from the Chiefs stating that they had run out of “Touchdown fireworks” because, they were scoring so much.

Luckily for them, all KC added the rest of the way was a Field Goal that made the final tally 51-31.

It’s onto the AFC championship game next week (1/19), against the Cinderella Tennessee Titans in KC.

PACKERS SEND HAWKS HOME:

Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams Aaron Jones, former Hawk Jimmy Graham, and the Packers ran around Russel Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks in the first half at Lambeau, staking out to a 21-3 advantage.

But the Hawks would rally in the second half, as Wilson found stars DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockkets, engineering some big drives that ended in three Marahwn Lynch rushing TDs, that cut the Seahawks deficit down to 28-23 late in the 4th quarter.

But a clutch defensive stop on a 2 point conversion attempt, and other defensive stops down the stretch, sealed the win for the Packers as they will now travel to California, for Sunday’s (1/19) epic NFC Championship game against the San Francisco 49ers.

That game will begin after the AFC championship game concludes in KC, between the Chiefs and the Titans, which begins at 3:05PM ET.
