Novak Djokovic made history Sunday (2/2), as he defeated the cindrella story, that Dominic Thiem in five sets, 6-4,4-6,2-6,6-4,6-4. It didn’t look good for Novak,a s he trailed two sets to one, and went to the locker room for qn injury timeout. But Novak gutted it out, broke Thiem late in them in the 4th set to force a 5th, before breaking Thiem early in the 5th, to ultimately capture his record 8th Australian Open title and 17th grand slam title(Three behind Federer art 20). As for Thiem, hen will be back at this stage very soon, vying for his first grand slam looking to break the “Big 3 barrier”, of Rodger ,Rafa and Novak.
