This is a new series we are doing to keep you engaged during the sports hiatus. Let’s relive the great memories of this day in sports: March 14th.

• in 1960, Wilt Chamberlin set the then NBA record for most pts in a game w 60, as the Philadelphia Warriors defeated the Syracuse Nationals 132-112.


•1962: NHL great Gordie Howe, becomes the second player in history to reach 500 goals. Maurice Richard was first in 1958.


• 1971: Ken Roswell shocks the world by defeating the legendary Arther Ashe in the Australian Open final 6-1, 7-5, 6-3. That completed a “Perfect match” tournament for Ken as he never dropped a set through all 7 matches.
