It was a thrilling match on Sunday in Flushing,Ny but in the end it was Rafael Nadal ousting Danil Medvedev in a 4:51 minute epic!
The win is Nadals 19th grand slam title.
Rafa was in control early on and seemed a step ahead of Danil as he lead 7-5, 6-3, 3-2 and serving before Medvedev came roaring back to take the 3rd and 4th sets to even the match which saw lengthy rallies and epic shotmaking from both players!
In the 5th, Nadal had a double break lead at 5-2 before Medvedev rallied back again and got as close as 4-5 and a break point before Rafa shut the door closing out an epic finals win in front of an electric NY crowd.

What a match! That was amazing! Props to both players and congratulations to Rafa on the win. Wow!
