We head into this upcoming weekend, with the Knicks, Nets ,Rangers, and Islanders facing pivotal games. Let’s take a lookout where all four stand now.
KNICKS:14-16
Julius Randle’s all-star campaign continued this week, when he dropped 44 points, as the Knicks rallied from a 16 point deficit to take down the Hawks in a 123-112, barnburner, that pulled them within a game of .500. However, a poor shooting night in an underwhelming 107-89 loss to the lowly Magic, stein NY back. The Knicks host the nine win Timberwolves on Sunday.
NETS 19-12:
Yes I know the Lakers didn’t have Anthony Davis due to an ankle injury, but the Nets missed Kevin Durant, so the teams were on even playing fields. What we saw, was the Nets duo of Kyrie Irving(16-7-5), and James Harden(23-5-11) torch the Lakers defense, with sharpshooter Joe Harris dropping 21 points as well, in a convincing 109-98 win at Staples Center, over the Lakers. The win is Brooklyn’s fifth straight, as they head into a battle with the Clippers next, on Sunday.
RANGERS: 5-7-3:
They played hard, but three goals allowed in the third period to the Devils, saw the Rangers lose again 5-2, and fall to 0-2 against New Jersey. However, the team would rally, and defeat the Flyers 3-2 in a shootout, with Kappo Kakko, and Artemi Panarin scoring the goals, and Alexander Georgiev making the stop. Up. next, a Saturday matinee against the powerhouse Capitals.
ISLANDERS: 8-5-3:
Two dominant wins over the Buffalo Sabers (3-1,3-0), which saw Iliyu Sororkin record his first NHL win, and first shutout as well.
