WON MORE! NATS BASH CARDS FOR 3-0 SERIES LEAD.

The Nats pitching show continued on Monday night (10/14) in Washington as Stephen Strasburg became the latest pitcher to shut down the Cardinals offense as he went 7 innings of 1run ball with 12Ks while the Nationals offense broke out against ST Louis ace Jack Flahrety in an 8-1 rout in Game 3 that put the Nationals 27 outs away from there 1st ever World Series berth.


The Nats got to Flahrerty early and often as Adam Eaton, Anthony Rendon and Howie Kendrick (Knocked home 2 runs) all lined hits into the gaps In the outfield that brought home 4 runs in the 3rd and gave Washington an early 4-0 lead sending the raucous crowd into an early frenzy.

In the 5th, Kendrick did it again as he doubled home another run to extend Washington’s lead to 5-0.

The game was really broken open when Victor Robles walloped a 2runHR in the 6th into the DC night that put the Nationals up 7-0 and sent them on there way to an 8-1 win.

The Cardinals only run came on a rare throwing error by Juan Soto in the 8th, but was answered back by a Ryan Zimmerman RBI single.

UP NEXT:

The Cardinals will turn to Dakota Hudson in game 4 to keep there season alive with Adam Wainwright to follow in relief. Meanwhile, Washington turns to Patrick Corbin to get the job done and lock down the sweep.
