The Yeshiva University hockey team hit the rink bright and early at 7 AM in Pennsylvania for an exciting matchup against fifth ranked Oswego who entered the contest with a 6-2 record . Just 32 seconds into the game, they seized the momentum with a power play goal as Drazin set up Froom for the lead. Gabriel Rosenblatt then connected with Ariel Greenberg to extend the lead to 2-0. The Macs dominated the period, outshooting Oswego 13-3.
In the second period, the game's momentum shifted as Oswego launched an offensive barrage against YU's goalie, Michael Mintz. However, Mintz made some impressive saves to keep YU in front. Their efforts paid off when Zach Lev unleashed a rocket of a shot to make it 3-0.
Moving into the third period, the Macs regained their composure, communicated effectively, and raised their intensity. Avraham Gellman and Yoni Drazi displayed some great cycling, leading to an Ariel Greenberg goal to make it 4-0 just 3 minutes and 1 second into the frame. However, Oswego managed to get on the board 22 seconds later when Jakob Lyons found Kirschbaum. Sol Feder showcased his incredible shot a minute after that, extending YU's lead to 5-1. Nicholas Finger added to the tally with a skillful goal of his own, making it 5-2.
Oswego pressed hard in search of a spark but couldn't beat Mintz or Yeshiva's formidable defense. Mintz ended the game with 24 saves on 26 shots. Levy and Greenberg combined for one more goal in the waning seconds, securing a 6-2 victory for YU over an Oswego team that entered the game with a 6-2 record and a fifth-place ranking in the preseason poll. It was an impressive win for the YU team!
